Surprised by good prices at BlockBuster GameRush!!

I came home today with 4 games for 37 bucks... from blockbuster's new gamerush. I was fairly shocked.

Legacy of Kain Defience for Xbox was 16.99
Eternal Darkness (GC) 9.99
Bloodrayne (GC) 9.99
Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance (XBOX) 9.99

They were having the buy one get one for 50% off...
so that's how it came out to 37 bucks... plus tax depending on where you are. They aren't the greatest.. most are faily old games..

But Defiance for 16.99 was astonishing... all were in mint condition WITH manuals... which isn't always the case. Anyway... I wasn't too unhappy.

They also had a number of 4.99 games... with the 50% off 2nd one... not too bad. some of the ones I remember seeing are...

James Bond (Old one for GC)
Jeremy McGrath (something or other... some bike game)

they also have that trade in any 2 games and get any used game for 9.99... getting rid of those crappy sports titles that are old... is a great option here!!!

Yeah. They've always had decent prices at the Gamerush stores I've been to. One of the first times I was there, I found Suikoden 1 for $7 and Gallop Racer 2001 for $10.
 
Damn, I got my Fresno's and my Fremont's confused. My closest Gamerush is 3, not 1 hour away. :cry: well, gad I found my mistake before I went to gamestop and stocked up on cheap PS1 games.
 
I saw at Blockbuster today, they had tons of copies of Max Payne 2 for Xbox and PS2, they were $13 each, and I saw Max Payne 1 used at GameStop for around $8, so for about $20, you can get 2 great games.
 
Wait, there's a gamerush at Fresno/Fremont? I checked their homepage and I didnt see any stores in California...
 
I did the deal again and I was told that today is the last day for the trade 3 get one for $4.99. And that PS1 games were not eligible for the 3 game deal, AND that only 2 deals per day, per customer were allowed.

This is 2 days after another clerk told me there were no restrictions and no known expiration date for any of the deals. Go figure. The girl 2 days ago did say that it could end at any time, she just didn't have an offical word but it could end tomorrow for all she knew.

the trade 3 was a weekend promo, but the trade 2 should continue. Also, the ps1 SHOULD have been part of it, but there are some managers who are getting pissy with these deals and changing the rules

The signage at the Novi, Farmington, and Wixom Blockbusters all say PS1 games are included. At Brighton PS1 is not listed. However, I traded 12 games in tonight in Brighton, 2 of which were PS1 and they took them for the $4.99 deal no problem.

I think this was the last day of the deal. Either way, most Blockbusters are pretty picked over at this point.
 
BTW.. the gamerush I went to was in Hanford, CA -- which is south of fresno about 40 minutes or so. To the guy who's looking for one in fresno... 40 minutes is closer than 3 hours!!! =)

It's brand spankin' new... so it's probably not listed on their website yet.

Only been there 1 week.
