Like bacteria said, I can't find anything else it offers than the 5 in-game items... which you probably don't need/replace once you unlock better gear.

That's two dollars each EA wants for things like Han solos gun and the ion torpedo (I don't even care about star wars and I've heard of that) and...emotes? How crappy is the battle if you have time to emote?

Preorder bonus is also pretty crappy, engage in a multiplayer event a week earlier, what if you don't have much time to play it the first week anyway? It's like the 2x XP bonus again.

You pay extra money for trivial shit that, 10 years ago, would be unlockable just through normal progression. The gaming industry really disappoints me these days.
 
I know when I was ordering it (I'm really, really skeptical of the game honestly) I saw this edition and was like nah regular edition at Best Buy with GCU. If my friends weren't getting it I would likely wait for reviews and likely pass on it.

 
Yeah the only reason I really have any interest in the game is I know one of the sound engineers on the project. The Deluxe Edition is a ripoff but I figured someone might be interested. If there were somehow a crap deal on the FM6 digital deluxe edition I'd be thankful for someone posting that up for example. Sure the edition in itself is rubbish but as a die hard Forza fan, I still want it. So yeah, that's why I posted it. I don't recommend anyone bites BUT to each their own and I'm not gonna judge someone for biting on it.
 
I read the game is supposed to be real similar to Titanfall. No real traditional story campaign, and online only. Which I'm OK with, but I know a lot of people won't be.
 
The standard edition is also on sale for Prime members for 54.99 at checkout. From what I've read, these 5 items aren't exclusive to the deluxe edition, you unlock them later as you level up in game. Might as well save 7-8 bucks for 5 items that you're going to unlock later anyways.
 
Thanks for the post OP and the replies after indicating multiplayer only. Just canceled my order. Not a fan of the multiplayer only games.
 
yeah I'd say standard is the way to go, dragon age deluxe was dumb and this will probably be too. Keep in mind too though its part of Best Buys $10 preorder program so the price really drops to $38+tax at Best Buy with GCU.
 
Are any of the other Prime pre-order discounts still working? I tried Just Cause, MGS, and Mario Maker last night and nothing even at checkout.

 
MP only, fuck that, gonna just trade it in after I pick it up from BB. I like Star Wars and all but I wasn't buying it just for the MP, I'll have plenty other MP games to play.

Agreed.... but don't forget: The people paying for the pleasure of having this shit shoveled down their throats are the real culprits.

Because I paid $37.xx after tax for the deluxe because I got it from the Best Buy 50% glitch. Depending on the tiv, I'll get $3-$7 extra back if I trade it in and I'll get the $10 cert for preordering. ;)

edit- and I can sell the deluxe DLC and preorder bonus to get a little bit more

Something tells me this one will disappoint. Unlike say BLOPs 3, which just about everyone is meh on but will likely be alright, maybe not great but OK, everyone is expecting this one to be like the old Battlefronts on PS2. I have that gut feeling that just says it.....I'm still pre-ordering but if it sucks it will get traded in sooner than later. I wont make the same mistake I did with Evolve and hope it gets better and then have a game that isn't worth anything anymore.
