Syphon Filter®: Dark Mirror beta test.

I didnt get one and I doubt I will...I never get in on these even though I keep my profile up to date and occasionally post in the forums...

Got my PSP out of the trunk just to sign up for it.

It's been left in the cold confines of my trunk for over a month due to my Xbox 360, but I'd like to be part of a beta test, a first for me.

The email says you need to sign up using PSP browser 2.60, but I just did it using my 2.00 firmware. I don't know if when the UMD comes will it include a mandatory firmware upgrade, but it doesn't look like you need to do it yet if you don't want to.

You could just use the User Agent Switcher on Firefox and trick the browser into thinking that you're using the PSP to go to the site.
Anyone have a URL for it?
You have to enter the URL via your PSP with firmware 2.6. It's also invite only and limited to G.A.P. members.

This will be my third beta. I did Ratchet: Deadlocked and SOCOM: Fire Team Bravo.

Just follow these simple steps:

1) Upgrade your PSP™ Firmware to 2.6*

2) From your PSP™ Internet browser go to http://pspbeta.us.playstation.com.
(We will only accept registrations that are completed on the PSP™ browser.)

3) Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your registration.

I believe you only had to have 2.0 for FTB. Or was 2.5 out by then?

I guess it doesn't really matter. You know that your firmware is being submitted.

Besides, if you're not a invited G.A.P. member -- no dice anyway.

B.S. I got the SOCOM FTB beta without having 2.0. Of course I have since updated to 2.0 finally to play things like GTA:LCS.

o_O

I call BS.

;)

I'm pretty sure the browser (non-wipeout hack) first came with 2.00. I upgraded to that back then and did the SOCOM FTB beta. That said, I don't understand what you mean by people who "did that."
any1 wana sell the beta to me?
Well I was, but then you spelled Anyone with a 1. And that just got you nothing. :)

:( Just missed UPS. Got this nice post-it on the door saying they tried to deliver a package from SCEA but need a signature. Oh well, I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Not me, feels like another typical 3rd person shooter much in the lines of SOCOM with just the option to turn off auto-lock aim. Switching to your pistol is too time consuming in the heat of battle and headshots can get pretty easy if you just adjust the height of your crosshair and strafe and spray.

RTL's and ATL's are pretty useless because you have to dance around until the command comes up so that you can stay immobile while you press Up on the d-pad. Gadgets are pure shit and what the fuck is up with being smacked/meleed to the ground and then unable to move for 2 seconds where the enemy shoots you to death?

The only thing I enjoy is the lobby system-somewhat, and I'm just comparing it to COD2 for the X360.
just got it today too. anyone interested in buying it?
I wouldn't sell it if I were you. Sony has been stepping up and cracking down on idiots who try to sell beta PS2/PSP games on eBay. "We take the Public Beta Click Agreement very seriously and will enforce the removal of all violators of this agreement."
