Tansfer 20GB hard drive to 120GB - Question [Use General Question Thread Above Pls]

Hope this is the right place to post this....if not very sorry

Okay I have a 360 with a 20GB hard drive. Just got an Elite and I want to transfer my 20GB hard drive to my new 120GB hard drive. Since the Elite doesnt come with a cable to do this, my question is will this be easy to do with a memory unit? Can I transfer everything over from 20gb to 120gb? All game saves, everything?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this is a really stupid question. Just want to make sure before I buy a memory unit.

I have never done this...but with a Memcard you are able to "Move" from HDD to Memcard..dunno if you can do Memcard to HDD?. If so dont see why you can't swap a hdd in between.

Some save files won't move. It would be much easier to contact MS and get them to ship you a cable for free. Call CS and they should handle it.

Just order a cable from MS, it's free but takes a couple weeks to get to you. Or you can buy a 120GB hard drive, use the cable, and then return it.

The transfer it self takes almost an hour and memory card wouldn't work for all saves because some are locked down (like forza 2) and can only be moved by the cable.

Couple weeks? Bull. I faxed my form in and had the cable in four days.

Anyway, if they can't process the request for you over the phone, the form is right here.
