Target Clearance Thread XXIII

I haven't seen a Target with a clearance section in months now, and that's even after a big move to another state. I just don't understand why certain states get these now and others it's just completely gone.

I've been searching for this. My Targets never seemed to have gotten a restock.
 
Does anyone know if Target still merges standard editions with deluxe/golds? It's been a while since I went looking for games at Target

It looks like they might have stopped doing it. Far Cry 5 Gold hasn't merged - though has dropped to 59.99. The Crew 2 gold is still full price.

Yup. I bought three games last week. Digimon (opened to test because it was loose in the case when I bought it), Redout (XB1), and Dead Alliance (XB1). They returned them as new/unopened games, and I was able to get one of the cheaper games for free. The new total was $16.27 versus $22.77. Took less than five minutes.

 
One thing though, if you got a clearance price from another store you may not be able to get the same price when you return/rebuy. This happened to me and I ended up paying the current price at the return store but was still able to do the b2g1 offer. 

 
Returning during a promo is not YMMV. They can deny anyone for any reason yes but the items are prorated so they just return exactly what you technically paid. Just return the items without a receipt and just your card. No questions need to be asked and it's easier to do.

I think the ymmv part was if he could return and rebuy for sure
 
I tried to buy Digimon yesterday since it was the first time I had seen it since it was clearanced, but apparently it was already salvaged. Clerk tried to sell it to me for $15, the supposed last price. Lame.
 
Returned and rebought 2 along with a new game and the lady acted like it was the greatest inconvenience and that she was bending over backwards and breaking the rules to complete the transaction. I really dislike employees that act like giving me a deal comes out of their paycheck.

Same thing happened to me. Lady said she would allow a return rebuy 'just this one time' because they 'don't take returns on clearance items'.

Thanks for this! Been checking my store religiously for a couple weeks now. Was just there yesterday and they didn’t have it, saw your post this morning and just bolted out to check. Sure enough, one left mixed in with all of the other controllers.

I need to check the Target on La Cienega again and see if those DS4s are actually there...an old friend who has no interest in video games went to check for me and said they didn’t have anything, but who knows. Also, I found plenty of these at the Target in Mission Hills:

Each game is only slightly more expensive than 70% off clearance. Is either one worth picking up at these prices?

Had my eye on the Vornado Swan S. Somehow I majorly lucked out and my closest store has it at 70% off for $30, last one in the store even when their systems said 0 on hand.

"Repackaged" prices are absolutely random. In some cases, they're really good. Others are outrageous. Hope you bought Fire Emblem.

A Target near me had a bunch of games marked as Repackage as well even though those same titles were available at full price in the same store. I picked up some dor the B2G1 sale. Completely random prices.

Yea, i found Disaster Artist at one Target last week. Had two copies and they were both different prices. Bought the cheaper one.

There's two of those $60 12" Fallout figures clearanced at a store near me for 30%. Brickseek shows as full price. I'm hoping it drops this week so i can use the 25% Toys coupon before that expires.

Fire Emblem is. Evil Within 2 will probably get a MSRP drop to $20, then will go down to $6 at 70% clearance so if you aren't in a huge hurry to play it, I would wait.
