Target Clearance Thread XXIV

Amazon is worse. Anytime I preorder through them I don't expect to get my order till a month after release. Only reason I ever do so is when they have those promos like 15 off or 10 off x.

Ya. Wasn’t trying to wait until the estimated Wednesday delivery date of Astrobot on my preorder. Went and bought one and will return the one that’s shipped when it’s delivered. I usually never preorder games. But won’t be doing so from target again

Saw this at 30% clearance in the Richmond, CA store.

Marked $179.99, reg price $249.99.

I keep getting messages to approve the delay of the latest Splatoon amiibo I ordered from Target, now expected 9/26. I'm guessing Target again oversold a hot item and will likely cancel my order in a few weeks?

Seems like a decent price for these now.

50% off, reg $134.99 now $67.49.

Not sure if my picture of them is showing...

Edit: here is a review if anyone is interested.

I don't fly or live in a noisy area so it's all moot to me. Not a knock to them however. I don't know if I'd even need noise canceling as just with ear buds in I can hardly hear outside noises.

Forgot to mention, I've noticed quite a few whiskeys/bourbons and wines getting clearanced at 50% off here in NorCal. Obviously only applies to Target stores that sell wine/liquor, but might be worth a look if your store does.

Every store sells alcohol in my area amusingly. a liquor store on every corner as well. We also have Sunday licenses in my little area while none of the ones in surrounding areas do. I feel like they would burn the whole state to the ground if they couldn't buy alcohol.

Oh I wish! I’m in a control state. Can only buy from state owned stores and no allocated things ever hit shelves.

Fwiw down to $40.59 now if you can find them.

Saw the Victrola record players 75% off as well. I know they've been trashed but as low as $29 or $49 (for the Hawthorne model) might be appealing to some.

I picked up a TI-84 plus from Minneapolis Target 056 15 0017. Clearanced to 69.99. When I went to pay my 15% tech coupon didn't activate, but fortunately it was clearanced down to 41.99 according to my receipt. Great since I know my daughter will need this in school soon

Please test it. A ridiculous number of them are defective out of box because they must’ve used crappy batteries. It runs in an endless loop of trying to find the OS and resetting. Allegedly the fix is to get a new battery from TI.

PM in-store College Football or Madden to Amazon or Gamestop for $48, then scan your Target Circle after they adjust it and you get 30% more off. Was $33.xx before tax

Edit: It is similar to how we got $10 Mario games in the past. In fact Kirby Forgotten Land, Mario Odyssey, and NSMBU are $40 with Target Circle ($20 off), so you could also do the same if you find a cheaper PM for those games.

They are actually supposed to not allow combining of price match and Target Circle offers (I have seen it stated in the fine print), but of course it can slip through the cracks.

when did 4k movies get so expensive? looking through for the buy 2 get 1 and even with that promo they are still overpriced.
When competition dried up. Best Buy no longer sells them and some studios don’t even do their own distribution. Disney got out of the business; Sony actually does their distribution now.

YMMV, but all the Elgato Neo products are on clearance. At my local store, they were all at 70% off. I picked up a Stream Deck for $30.

The fall reset is well in swing at my store. No name action & dash cams, unlocked Moto G Play cell phone, headphones, Tile trackers, & more- most at the final 70% markdown. Shockingly though, the only video game related thing on markdown was the Zelda blind box by Culture Fly. (That's the box that had a mug, socks, vinyl statue, etc.)

How are the moto g phones? I can always use a backup for Pokémon go and stuff to play with. Especially when support and app compatibility is hit or miss.

The Moto g series are entry to mid range phones, depending on the model. They only get 3 years of security updates and only 1 Android version update. The Moto g Play (2023 version) that my store has is an entry-level version. The camera is 16MP and it's only a 4G LTE phone- no 5G. It might be ok for a first phone or a burner, but as a main phone, I'd pass.

I have a Moto g7 (2019) as a work phone. (Also have a flagship Samsung as my main phone.) Don't use my Moto phone except for mostly basic work purposes- maps, phone/text, 2FA, etc. Anything fun or processor intensive I do on the Samsung. As of now, the Moto struggles and lags when using the Bing app. Some of the required apps I have to use for work don't function properly. I think technology is finally getting too much for this phone. But even at $51 for the Moto g Play (2023) that my store has, I'm going to pass and keep looking for something a little better.

Keep in mind Motorola is no longer a real phone company. They were sold off to Lenovo years ago, they’re ‘moto’ in name only.

Lenovo is making higher end devices such as the Edge+ and Razr+ though the G and stylus series are typically plastic bodied inexpensive devices.

Moto phones were my transition into android many years ago. Typically they are a good hardware value and a very close to stock android distribution, but they are TERRIBLE about software updates. They abandon devices so fast it should be criminal.

I'm especially bitter as they promised additional updates on two different generations of Moto Z that they never delivered. Fool me twice, shame on me.
