Target - Dark Void (PS3) $7.50 - YMMV

I picked up a copy of Dark Void for PS3 that had been clearanced down to about $7.50. It rang up as $8.00 total here in Lincoln, NE. After reading a bunch of reviews, it seems like this is an appropriate price to pick it up.

I was gonna pick this up via gamestop's sale but I decided against it. I loved the Rocketeer when I was a kid. Can't wait for killzone 3! Please don't suck!

As a guy who just picked this up used for $5, I would say that's pretty unfair... the game is an enjoyable cover-based shooter, so if you liked things like Uncharted or Gears of War, you'd probably find at least $10 worth of fun here.

The highlight, ironically enough, is not the jetpack action (which is fairly broken), but instead the vertical cover-based shootouts. Traversing a cargo ship that is dangling precariously over a cliff while under heavy fire is a pretty unique experience.

Not to be the White Knight for this game, but I can think of many, many titles that would be much less deserving of $7.50:

95% of the titles for Wii
Bomberman Zero
Damnation
Dark Sector
Infernal
Legendary
Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire
Rogue Warrior
Vampire Rain
X-Blades
You're in the Movies (unless you really want a webcam)

Dark Sector is worth $7.50. Not sure why everyone hated it so much. Rogue Warrior is definitely worth that price for the easy Platinum (or 1000). Why isn't the new Alone in the Dark on your list, couldn't stomach that POS...

Agrees.

But Dark Void . . . a jetpack game where the jet pack action is almost broken is terrible.
