i got my copy off gamestop today and starting playing it.

on 2nd game

with 10 seconds left in the 3rd Q i make a pass time runs out on the tackle

GAME FREEZES

turn off ds and start playing again

on 3rd game

End of 1st Q time runs out with a tackle and GAME FREEZES


DO NOT BUY THIS BUG FILLED GAME


Love to go back tomorrow and get my cash back


Anyone know if i take my DS to Gamestop tomorrow and show them the frozen game will they give my money back or just give me another copy of this piece of #$#$#
 
game came out today

I left the ds in sleep mode where the game crashed to show the worker tomorrow that the game is totally froze

Love for them to say... what the hell heres your cash back cause


if i remember right now

If this is a PURE Port of the SNES game. the SNES game had a bug in the code that made the game crash from time to time

Reading on other sites im starting to wonder if there isnt 2 versions of this game

some people are saying they have a tough time scoring and running

the copy i got i can score 48 pts every game in a 5 min q game

all of my people can break lose for a 50+ run


seems sort of werid others are saying they are only getting 5 to 10 yards per pass and they drop the ball alot when i never drop the ball and almost always can sack the QB
 
guess those other people dont know how to play. Cousin called me up last night late asking if i got it and told them about the bug. She did not run into the bug yet but remembers it on the snes game

here entire season before playoffs the CPU only scored 28 pts the entire season all of her games was 35+ pts to 0 to 7

playoffs she won each game easy by 21 to 28 pts

seems if gamestop says pick up another copy i just throw it up on goozex before the prices crash like

hot shots golf 2 open tee psp and that doge ball
 
I couldnt disagree more. I've had this happen once, on the first game, and havent had it happen since. Its a blast to play, and I'm still editing rosters and such. Its classic TSB, what more could you want?

fuck. Should I get this for my boyfriend or not? Do I trust slidecage.... or trust someone else's reasonable opinion?
 
I picked it up - have not had any freezing issues at all so far. It is hard for me to score lol, I keep either dropping the pass or fumble.....

It depends. Is he a classic Tecmo fan? Will the lack of a NFL license bother him? Can he play online? Does he like to edit rosters?

If he loves classic TSB, and can deal with the lack of NFL license, than yes you should. I just finished editing the NFC East, and am moving on to another division. Its alot of work, but if he enjoys that, its rewarding.
 
seems they bug isnt that deadly.... played 2 seasons won every game very easy... had the bug happen twice. Might be late hits that makes the games freeze up or something. there was about 4 to 5 times where it looked like the game might freeze but then went on to the next play.


Its an okay game if you like this sort of game but i find it way too easy..... shipping it off to goozex today.

maybe if you pick lesser known teams its harder (i used indy)


its a fun time killer but can get boring sort of quick
 
I think I'm going to buy at $15 ... although I'm not sure what other ds game to get for free shipping.

I guess you should change the title to "Do not buy this bug filled game .... unless it's $15."

well it might be like the musical adventure game (where sometimes the bug hits and other times it dont)

cause the first 3 games i had bugs but the rest of the season i did not
 
Play through some of it, but essentially motivated me to play the NES version instead. There is a big cult following that still plays the original Tecmo super bowl and the community has the ability to mod the heck out of the original game. You can now get Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES with present day rosters and all 32 nfl teams.

To be honest, if you can stand the old NES graphics, their version outshines this DS version.

They MIGHT be able to update Kickoff's version rosters, but that is a feat that will take time.
