THAT'S why I said if u can play it, was refering if u had a modded ps2, u can play it, if not sorry for the info then.

Curious... what is the cheapest you can pick up a Japanese PS2 for? Pretty much just 'plug and play' in the U.S.... right? Can you use U.S. memory cards/controllers with them?

I paid $250 plus shipping for mine 2 years ago, I don't know how much they cost now. Yeah they are plug and play. I use my US memory cards and controllers with it without a problem.

The thing is, we cant post any link to a mod site, since modding allows always the use of pirated games, so look in the web and find it for yourself, sorry.....!!!

Thanks... thinking about picking one up... I'll also be able to play some of the strange little import PS1 games I picked up years ago.

Yeah that was one of the reasons I picked up one as well. I did have an external PS1 modchip but the problem was that a lot of the games had anti mod chip protection. It was really annoying because they were legitimate real versions of the games and not some burned copies and I couldn't play a lot of them.
