That Freakish Gamestop Lady just called

You're at home watching the game, when the phone rings.

"Hello", you answer, then there is an akward pause.

"Hello, this...is..Doris...from Gamestop.....Calling to tell you....Destroy All Humans....should be in tommorrow."

Sometimes Doris calls early. I've had her call, and the game didn't come in for a few days. Sometimes she leaves me a message. How thoughful. But she always freaky. A Human voice with the most unnatural sounding cadence possible.

You should've seen the "Pat" that worked at my local EB. Dressed like a woman with the shortest skirts I've ever seen in my life. But...all the manerisms of a man. Adams apple, man hands...the works...when I came home I didn't know if I should get myself off or vomit.

When GTA:SA came out, I had it preordered along with a buddy.

I came home, and Doris left a message on my machine. So what do I do? I call my buddy at 3:00 AM and play the message for him.

The next day, he tells me he's tired at work, because the 'damn Gamestop computer called him in the middle of the night'. My laughter is the confession. I turn off my ringer to avoid the revenge that is headed my way.
