Some old guy's store about two hours from where I live had an assload of video game stuff. SNES marked for $10, Genesis for $10, Game Boy Color (Pikachu version) for $5, and a PS2 for $50. I asked him if they all work, he said that as far as he knows they do. He also had an unopened Sonic Adventure limited edition Dreamcast game, which I bought. ;)

Most of his games were old, but I also picked up Amplitude, Sly Cooper, and Arc the Lad: Twilight of Spirits, all brand new, for $20. I was going to buy Persona (the first one), but I hear it sucks. Not to mention the case was cracked in half.

I'd say that if you have a mom and pop store, you should check it out. They always undersell video games if they have them.

you got all those games for $20? good deal.
i should check out my mom and pop stores.

I know that store!!! I'm going to go clean them out and sell the stuff on EEEBBAAAAYY! HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Was Persona in good condition, and did it have the artwork and case? I might be interested in that, depending on the price, if you are willing to trade.

I think the Persona storyline was great. The gameplay on the other hand was kind of frustrating. They removed an entire subsection/alternate ending in the American version, did some semi-lame translation things ("You son of a...!!!" and Mark went from weird looking Japanese to black) and man there are a shitload of random encounters. And yet still I love the game. But that's just me.

Nah man, the Persona game was shit. I didn't dare to open the case and check out the disc because it was about to fall off. Plus there were cracks and whatnot. I suppose you could always buy a copy of another game and then transfer the inserts and back cover...

...Wow. I never thought of doing that. I have plenty of jewel cases...

I didn't buy it though. I might get it if it's still there.

Yeah dude, I got those three games for $20. The Sonic game was $6.99 because it was sealed. It's a good deal overall because not only do I get three quality games to play, but the scarcity rating on Sonic Anniversary l/e is 9/10.

Mom and pop stores are great places to find rare games at bargain prices.

It's like a store that's owned by a few people and they run it usually from their garage or they buy the property. Kinda like an independent convenience store I guess? They sell everything, mostly Nascar and clothes.
