Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).

TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

So my membership ends next week and I didn't get any renewal offers and probably will be letting it go like a lot of you. Only have about 8k in points (they expire 45 days after end of membership, right?). Also down to about 16 in tic left.

Can the points still be used at register in $1 increments? I know tic can be used in store on digital currency cards (eshop, etc)..but can points also?

To use any coupons, you have to be a Pro member. You are redeeming points for coupons when you use them, so you will forfeit the points if you don't use them before your membership expires.

Weird. The website still says different.

Do my points expire? What is the point expiration policy?

  • Points expire 13 months from the date of accumulation.
  • If your Pro membership ends, all of your points will expire 45 days after the end date.
  • Pro Tip: Keep your Account on auto-renew and redeem your points within a year of accumulating them to prevent your points from expiring!

Anyone had their coupons go poof? I had redeemed a bunch of points for different increments of money because I know that's the only way they stack. Originally they said they expired in like 2 months. And then later on it was changed to a date of December of this year so I didn't worry about it. And now they have poofed.

FYI fist of the North Star fitness boxing is $10 new on switch, trades in for $15.40 cash. Also walking Dead destiny's and trolls remix for series X are both $10 new, and $11 cash trade. Double dipping my coupon, I just turned $20 trade credit into $37 cash. I'm not sure how long the values will hold but I can confirm it working as of right now.
What do you mean double dipping coupon?

Decided to hang on to my Xbox series x back when it was trading for $390 a couple weeks ago, but now with it at $357 cash I might just do it. Have like $400 in credit so really didn't want more, but with the cash deal might have to do it. Anyone remember cash trading limits before a ban?

Edit: OP says $500 for cash trades.

Found copies of both Persona 3 and Unicorn Overlord for Xbox at my local store this week. Had $11 in points banked plus my $5 reward so the total was $54 before tax. Not too shabby.

The vast majority of the reason I was a Gamestop Pro was for the physical Game Informer.

My Pro expires at the end of the month, but then there's the 19.94 sale. So, I went to renew and there was a 5 dollar coupon to renew on my account (apparently not my monthly pro) and I had cashed out 1000 points for another dollar, knocking it down to 13.94, so I did it. Still, I hate paying for membership programs, and now I bet in a month they'll change the coupons to something even worse, but figured it was worth it this time.

lol I redeemed all my points for instore rewards since I got an email or something saying that they’re expiring on July, I forget.

Thought certs/rewards wouldn’t expire and now they’re gone so whatfreakinever. Not even gonna bother getting em back lol. It was a total of 50,000 points

My membership is active though.
i think your problem was that certificates always get an expiration date for the end of the quarter, even if its just a few days. there is a certain cut off point where the expiration goes to the end of the next quarter, but if you run up against that day your certs can expire real fast.

If I see an order just pop up in my account for a non-shipped order, can I assume it's my replacement order? I sent them an email for one part of my B2G1F order that just never got picked up by the USPS but I never got any type of confirmation from support regarding the replacement. My only concern with the replacement order is that it shows a cost for the two games but nothing about payment.

Saw the coupon for the discount on Pro and haven't had it in a few years. Did they ever make it so you can use it on digital currency again even in store? I used to get a $5 psn card every month but then it randomly stopped working online one day.

The $5 month towards digital currency ended in November of 2023.

Rip though thanks for letting me know. Not sure if I want to deal with 12 months of trying to spend my $5 every month though sometimes the lower FS threshold might be nice.

sorry if this has been asked before but does color of ps5 controller matter when trading in? my day 1 from 2020 started drifting so I no longer have a white one. Only black and red

I found this in my active offers

Reward Details

In-Store only reward
*Receive 25% Off 1 Pre-Owned Game Or Accessory With Coupon
Expires: 08/10/2024

I keep forgetting this exists... I just checked mine to see if I had something for my expiring Pro membership; I don't but I do have this:
In-Store only reward
*Receive 25% Off 1 Pre-Owned Game Or Accessory With Coupon
Expires on 08/10/2024

I have two separate active offers:
25% off preowned
50% off warranty

Since it expires 8/10 I will probably try to combine the 25% one instore with August's monthly $5.

Would love to have that one. I have extra 30% trade credit (not valid for cash) on games/accessories but nothing I'm looking to trade.
