Grabbed a Google Pixel, time to upgrade from my HTC One M9, and got the Google's Daydream VR headset promo through Verizon back when the Pixel came out. I've been taking it for a spin for about a week now, unfortunately I had to wait for rebate/shipping for the Daydream VR, and I have to say, other than I can't play for hours like my usual gaming habit haha, I have been having a lot of fun with ArcSlinger.

It's essentially a shooting gallery game set in a futuristic western setting but other than pointing, which feels almost on target, and shooting there's the Arcs. Grab the Arcs that enemies drop and you gain added abilities or powerups for your bullets (one gave me a shooting bot companion - say like in Geometry Wars - while another gave me split bullets allowing me to hit multiple targets - I'd say pretty handy in the later levels). You can activate each ability by the Daydream controller's touch pad (the big main button you always press) and it feels pretty intuitive actually. Swipe left, then right, to charge your gun to shoot out a flame attack which burns enemies, left, then up to charge a shocking multi-targeting shot as well. This is pretty handy as in harder later levels you'll want to interrupt all the shooters on the stage.

Plays fairly well, does need a select stage option though, as it's a Rogue-like shooter and originally it was meant to be like an oldschool arcade style see-how-long-you-can-last against increasing waves of enemies/levels. Thankfully, through gamer's feedback, the developer has added in the ability of Continues, which let's you practice a little more on those harder than normal levels. I got the game on a BF sale for 5 bucks and am having a blast, pun intended. It may have a bit of an advantage being a Daydream VR wasteland atm but overall it's a lot of fun and newcomers can get the hang of it fairly quickly (I let my family play around with it as well, my dad being a Western fan loved it).
