Bush's presidency has brought the price of oil up by around $100 a barrel, put us trillions of dollars in debt, cost us thousands of American lives, and brought us into a recession. I think it is safe to say that Bush will go down in history books as the worst president ever.
Now let's just hope that Obama is elected in November, so that we can finally end this war, and put America back on track.
"You're free. And freedom is beautiful. And, uhh, you know, it'll take time to restore chaos, and order, but we — order out of chaos, but we will." - George W. Bush, his message to the Iraqi people. April 13th, 2003.
I'm really surpsied there hasn't been any assassination attempts. There just seems to be so much Bush hate (and I personally agree with it, very very much) and I'm just shocked.
Yet, we impeach Clinton because he got his cock sucked.
Lilboo, don't be too surprised there haven't been any assasinatin attempts. Most of the world's governments use the strategy of placing and even more extreme politician in the vice presidency.
If we kill Bush we get Cheney. Still, I hate the stupid .

Actually the president before Lincoln still might be the worst ever. He didn't care to stop the civil war.
What bothers me is that my friend Bobby has a pic of me hugging him before he left for Korea. Luckily he's been back for 2 years now (he came out of the closet to come home, LOL)
If the second pic was of me at his funeral..I would of walked to washington to hand deliver a stone cold stunner to Mr Bush

He had a great deterrent plan in effect. Choose a vice president who scares people even more than he does.
As bad as Bush is, I'd be even more worried about Cheney as president.
Nope, Bush set a new record for the lowest approval rating...EVER!

Actually I think he is 3rd lowest on approval rating. He does have the highest disapproval rating (people responding that the disapprove of him).

Moreover, failing to stop a war is not as bad as starting an overtly unjust one.
It was the civil war, so it's close.
And Bush's approval rating is not the lowest ever. Nixon had 22% the week before he resigned. I respect him for resigning, something Bush and everyone else should have done years ago.
Very powerful pictures. Bush's approval would be even lower if more of these pictures were published to show the effects of his war.
Don't be silly. For every one of those types of pictures there are a ton of pictures of troops building schools, playing with iraqi kids, and handing out candy.
It all evens out. And the idea that a few pictures could sway political opinion on any conflict either way is actually kind of depressing (see flags of our fathers).
Saw the pic when it was first posted and like others said very touching. Of course 2 minutes after seeing this thread, one of the news channels ran a story about 2 army soldiers getting married right before they were both deployed to Iraq. Well a few months later the humvee the girl was in runs over a IED and now she has 2 stubs for arms. To make it even worse, the husbands brother had been killed in Iraq just a few months prior.
And Bush & Mccain wanted to reject the new GI bill being passed, that will actually truly help military people getting out. them!
