Could I have handled the situation better? Absolutely, but I was just so

ing mad that I did not want to return to be hassled by the

ing manager, not at one but 2 different Game-Stops.
Could I have called Corporate & gotten them to breath down the stores neck? Again, Absolutely, but I didn't have much luck with them in the past.
Could I have returned it for store credit or full refund? Dunno, managers pretty much typical Drone that won't budge when it comes to dealing with returns/exchanges.
Point is, what's done is done, I do have regrets but fretting over it will not undo the damage, I just choose not to deal with them anymore, I could have been shafted out much more money but I just chocked it up to one really bad experience.
You should've gone right back to the store that sold you the shitty, scratched up game and told them you wanted a different copy. If they tried to refuse the return, then you should've called the customer service line from your cell phone right in the store.
There's no way in hell I'd ever take that level of shit from a Gamestop. Even on the rare occasions I have taken a gutted 'new' copy, I've inspected that shit before I ever left the store.
If both corporate and the store manager(s) decided not to budge, then I would've asked for the district managers number on the spot. If they refused to give it to you in that store, then I'm sure someone in one of the umpteen Gamestop stores around would have.
You can't just give up and let these

in' idiots get away with this type of shit. The more people who do allow this to happen, the more the GS employees(and corporate) will feel they can get away with.
