Hey guys, just wanted to ask and find out did anyone jump on that Godfather 3 deal for the ps3 a while back? EA was selling it at 19.99 and you'd get back about 4-5 dollars back if you used paypal. Well, i jumped on the deal but it was sold out, so i ordered it anyway and waited for the back order. However, i find out now that its back in stock so i went to check my order status to see if it was shipped.. but to my dismay, the EA store found zero purchase history! so i checked my credit card account and found out that EA charged my card 2 weeks ago when they said that they will only charge once the product is shipped. So my question is, did anyone else bought up the deal even though it was out of stock? and if so, has it shipped already or does your account say no purchase history as well? or am i the only sucker here? btw, paypal finally gave me back that 4 dollars they owed me.

Pretty simple case, here... EA charged and didn't ship. Time to talk to their customer service, and if they protest, raise hell. If they refuse to ship the game or refund your money, talk with paypal and your credit card company, in that order. They can chargeback, and fix things.

Same crap happened to me. I opened a ticket with their CS. If I don't hear from them within a couple days, I'll be refusing the charge.

The game STILL shows "in stock" on the website too. lol. Isn't this technically illegal too or at least a violation of Visa/MC/AMEX policies? Merchants aren't supposed to charge you for items they can't ship. I opened a Paypal dispute. EA store sucks all kinds of bad. Like a lot of companies these days, their customer svc is outsourced to India, and all communication is done through their website.

I highly suggest anyone that got in on this "deal" call their credit company or open a dispute with Paypal. You only have 45 days to dispute charges with Paypal.
