Buy.com was getting some heavy complaints this year. So I'll have to give a nod to them.

Also for consideration, Circuit City and Best Buy both discontinuing free shipping for small orders.
BestBuy sucks when it comes to GBA games. Pretty much expect to get a smashed game box
Really? My Sword of Mana arrived just fine in a bubble-wrapper. Overstock managed to crush my SMB3 though.
BuyRiteGames. Contest over. Atleast BB ships their games once in a while.
Toss another vote that way.

Quit Dissing my local gamestore!!!

if you do not buy from BuyRite, you are not Buying Right!!!

and if you think their online store is bad, their employees are complete assholes (there was one guy who worked up there that was cool, but most of the employees suck)
BuyRiteGames.com
The only BuyRite that will get my money is a BuyRite liquor store, and even then only when desperate enough to splurge on Crystal Palace vodka.

That said, I'll vote BestBuy, since I never ordered from BuyRite and never plan to. They get my vote for wonderful customer service (we'll cancel your backorder for fun, then not let you re-order it -- call us and you'll get yelled at).

Buy.com is a close second, since it somehow took two days to ship me my LoZ: Oracle games, but 14 to get my damn Last Samurai DVD.

EDIT: I forgot to actually ADD something to the list, so Outpost is going up there. They can't even send a proper email (in Hotmail, the text is in one blob with markup laced through it.), nor apparently manage high demand even though they put up a good price to drive sales (Minish Cap, RE4).

I've bought more than a dozen games from Best Buy, and never had any problems with any of them arriving damaged, and I've never had to wait more than a few days for any to arrive.

I vote for Gamestop because of their fascist return policy

AGREE'D. they slammed three GBA boxed together in one crappy bubble mailer with no extra padding. SMASHOLA!!

dvdsoon.com
those fucking canadians charged my card for the zelda 4 swords and never shipped! I am still waiting and they just have it listed as "pending"

i remember that buy.com advertized a 25% off sale and we stayed up all night waiting for it to happen but it never did. Also, they are another online retailer that charge your card immediately instead of when the order ships.

buyrite1.com is obviously the most hated. Tho i will admit to having ordered from them at least a dozen times over the years without a hitch(tho not recently) Their phone reps can be rude, they charge you and dont ship.

i want to say Buyrite but i cant believe anyone would still shop there after all the crap. Yeah, they are the worst but its a fact so giving them this honor is stupid. Personally, I hate gamestop the most. Mostly lame deals, awful return policies, no box or manual usually, etc etc. Buyrite sucks but its so bad I cant believe anybody needs them to take this catagory before they stop shopping there.

I cancelled my order a month ago. The only thing is if you want an actual refund (not store credit) they make you wait 20 days to process it.

3rded. They took my money and gave me nothing. Isn't that called stealing?
I do hate BestBuy.com's BS shipping fees now though ($2 per game).

Shaq-fu Best Buy!! They screwed me out of the Zelda collector's disc when I pre-purchased it on Gamecube!!! Then they spit at CAG??? Well, I spit back!

Gamestop.com, it takes them a week to process the order and then another 5 days to ship it out? Then about a 2 weeks for it to arrive after providing no delivery confirmation. That's why I stopped shopping at their online store.

Tie between buyritegames.com and bestbuy.com. Well I would definitely give the edge to BB for worst in store service. We should give buyritegames.com a lifetime achievement award for customer dissatisfaction .

I think we need to exclude buyritegames.. they're more of a scam than an online retailer. But what about Playstation's online store? Terrible prices, and that mistake that got all of our hopes up.

I second Playstation.com. I ordered the Logitech wheel because I figured between Burnout 3 and Gran Turismo 4, I'd have two good titles to justify a good wheel....and they burned me! Ach! It still hurts when I think about it. :hot:

I agree with excluding Buyrite, we all know they suck...They shouldn't even count as an online retailer.

playstation at least tried to make ammends with the 10 dollar price break (Though shipping pretty much killed it)

DVDSoon.com for their practice of charging as soon as the order takes place - even on items that don't ship, their practice of giving store credit for cancelled orders and finally, their practice of making you wait two months to convert that store credit to charge credit.

I nominate Wherehouse.com assuming it's considered separate from Fye.com. I pre-ordered Donkey Konga from them about a month and a half before the release date at a discounted price. A week after the game was released they cancelled my order because they didn't have the game in stock. Then a week later, they offered to ship it at full price.

BuyRite screwed me out of a couple hundred dollars. I bitched and eventually got the SP, but none of the rest of my order. BUYRITE IS A SCAM.
WalMart.com.

And buyrite shouldn't count as a retailer, I think they are considered online gambling.
lol!

my vote would have to go to best buy for their poor shipping habits (crushed boxes, backordered items) and their newfound $2 per game shipping fee.

Probably between buyritegames.com (passed transgression prior to CAG) or BB.com Most people I think already know about how bad buyrite is so I'm going to have to go with BB. Absolute worst last year IMO.

I'm one of the lucky few who actually received the game... but I agree.... for the way they screwed the majority of the people that ordered it, and then LIED to them repeatedly about their being "stock issues" all the while listing it as readily available at the original price on their site. Add that to the fact that it apparently takes them about 2 weeks to ship things under normal circumstances and I think there's no question that they deserve to be at least nominated for this award.

how about

SONY

dont every1 remember when they had their so called Price error and all we got was a stupid 5 buck off coupon what didnt even cover shipping

outpost.com....both the best and worst place i've ordered from, my shipments were always less than a week from actual release date, but the shipping prices were bad

one of my BB orders came in fine with nice little bubblewrap, guess i was just lucky. But another time I ordered something from there and they lied about a lot of things, instantly became backordered and ended up not getting it.

wasn't really digging outpost either, tried ordering something from them and besides the 6$ shipping, it never came, luckily it still let me cancel w/o taking like 50$.

EBgames.com... The consistently sent me used games that didn't work, and their in store returns were ridiculous.

I agree 100%. Like someone else said Buyrite is more gambling then anything.

Also Playstation.com pissed me off the most with their error and then that crappy cop-out coupon that ended up knocking off about 2-3 after taxes and shipping from their games, all of which were at least 20$ over priced to begin with.
