The Lost Room, have you seen it?

CAGiversary!
Has anybody watched this? I'm trying to spread the word, as I often don't...
but I watched this last night and it was fraking GREAT!

The Lost Room was a 3 part mini series that debuted on the Sci Fi channel back in December. I hate going into details, but basically this guy happens upon a key... a motel key... which when used in any door leads to this motel room. You will not believe everywhere this eventually goes...

Please check this out! This is only the second time I've ever pleaded with people to check out a movie or show on a forum. The first time was Donnie Darko. This is definitely one of the BEST shows I have ever seen. The great thing is, it MIGHT become a series...

So go check it out, spread the word... the DVD of this comes out on Tuesday April 3rd. I hope it sells well enough to show them just how great this show is. I'm also not the only one who feels this way. Its one of the highest rated shows on TV.com (which is where I discovered it) and the comments share the same sentiment as my own. Anyone else watched it? Please, speak up!

I've recently seen this and I thought it was very well made. I wish they made this into a regular series so that we can find out more about the items!! Definately a must watch imo.

I watched this back when it first aired and I really enjoyed it. Sure the ending wasn't great (I think we all wanted to know more about the room), but the rest of it was, and I'm pretty sure they wanted to leave some questions in case Sci-Fi picked it up for a series.
I really hope Sci-Fi does decide to pick it up as a series, but from what I read the ratings weren't great, so I doubt they will.

CRAP! Thanks for reminding me about this. I remember seeing commercials, and thinking it looked cool. I thought it was going to be a show though, too bad only a movie.

it was well done and they left it open for a regular series, but that's not going to happen.

i don't think too many people watched it

The guy that produced this show, Richard Hatem, did another show back in 2003 called "Miracles" with Skeet Ulrich..it lasted 6 episodes, but it was GREAT.

The dvds are available, check it out. The pilot has to be one of the best in the last 10 years...easily.

I think I'll check that out. If its anywhere near as good as The Lost Room, it should be good! Also, I'm hoping DVD sales will be good, as that always gets their attention. It sucks, sometimes shows take a while for people to hear about...

I just spent way too much money on DVDs (and I need to get Super Paper Mario next week) so I wont be picking up The Lost Room tomorrow but I added it to my wish list on Deep Discount so I'll remember to order it during the 20% off sale.

I've seen it as low as $20. Unfortunately, the dvds are 4:3 even though it was shown in HDTV. Buena Vista "couldn't locate" the masters for Shout Factory....just laziness on the part of buena vista. Don't let that prevent you from checking out the show though..it's very interesting and thought provoking.

there was a thread about this when it was out

good series...hope it will get picked up, but sci fi has a bunch of original content airing this year

Maybe you should have begged people wo watch this months ago when it mattered, then it might have been picked up as a show.

As it stands Sci-fi said no to the show and what you see is what you get.
Sounds interesting, how many episodes have aired and when can I catch them?
It's a three part miniseries. You'll probably have to rent or buy the DVD, not sure if Sci-Fi is running these anymore.

I would let you know my thoughts... although I dont know exactly when I will be watching it. If its not too long from now, I'll certainly post them!
I will have to watch this now. Thanks for the suggestion!
The DVD is out. I've seen some good deals on this, lot of places carrying it for $14.99, but probably just through Saturday.

Thanks for spreading the word. I watched the first two episodes via Netflix. I thought it was pretty good up until they started really dealing with the Objects and then it got awesome. I don't know why, but I really dig stories that deal with certain kinds of magical/supernatural objects, don't ask me why.

The mailman ruined my day off today by not delivering disc 2. I don't want to see it end as much as I want to know more and more about the damn room. ;)

I really liked it because it was such an original sci-fi storyline which is really rare these days.
