CAGiversary!
first of all, this bass controller is amazing. a perfect meld of the best aspects of the RB controller (flush, full-size fret buttons) and the GH controller with the precise, quieter strum bar(s). on top of that, it really feels like your playing bass guitar with this thing. it's just great. feels really close to the real thing...not in weight, however.
however, it is wired. is there anyone with any insight of how to swap out some guts fro other xbox 360 controllers/guitar controllers to make this wireless? i realize it would be major surgery, but it would make this thing perfect.
UPDATE: confirmed by a rep at mad catz that the fender p-bass replica controller does in fact work perfectly with GHWT. simply set the RB1/RB2 switch on the back to RB1 BEFORE you plug it in to your 360. fantastic.
i was also told a few additional tidbits:
1) wireless version are definitely coming to the PS3 and Wii in the very near future.
2) they are waiting to see how the wired version sells before deciding whether or not to make a wireless version for the 360. (i relayed to him that logic may not pan out, as many people here at CAG are waiting for a wireless version, therefore would not even consider the wired version).
