I'm not sure if this was mentioned already but I was in Toys R Us in Deptford, NJ and they had Matrix: Path of Neo for $9.99 in a clearance bin. I snagged the last one there, but I thought I would mention it for anyone who wanted to check other stores.

wasn't that part of those $9.99 game selection you typically see at TRU?
like Gunstar SuperHeroes (GBA) and other titles?

i thought that this game was pretty good. nothing amazing, but not bad. Unlike the first Matrix game, this was actually playable and interesting. The ending was easily the best thing i've seen in a long time.:)

I thought Enter the Matrix was a lot better (Niobi's side of the story), but this was pretty decent. Worth $10 if you're a fan of the films (and come on, as disappointing as the third one was, it was still-at worst-a solid action film).

It's just the same as the movies though right? Or is there more to it?

No, they change it up in a way that is self-referential, and either pretty dang funny or horrendously pretentious, depending on how you read the Wachowski ego. Go Youtube it. I won't link it because if I do, it'll just be the damn RickRoll.

Personally, I liked PoN. While it pretty much just followed the movies, the gameplay was decent. The ending was kind of cool in it's own way, yet ridiculously hokey at the same time. All it needed was a giant crab to be complete.

Enter the Matrix, however, was a buggy piece of crap that I literally turned off about 3 levels in. I never touched it again, until I traded in as part of the trade 3 get and extra $10 deal a GS.

What version did you play? I've often heard that, but people don't bother listing what version they had.

I played through the Gamecube version, and loved it. Naomi's game was pretty awesome. Some of the best "scrolling fighter" combat in the last 5+ years (and better than Path of Neo). Ghost's game seemed like more of an afterthought, and I never bothered finishing it. I loved too how it tied in to The Matrix: Reloaded, without actually duplicating stuff scene by scene like movie tie in games typically do.

The only "bugs" I saw in the game were stuff like the agents not having the same special effects as in the film-probably a time issue, which is too bad, but it didn't hurt the game much.
