Some cool moves in this match, Abyss Chokeslam into Backbreaker, also Beer Money's snapshot-ish start into a spinning rock bottom

I knew that this was going to happen when I saw the match on Impact. This is the second time they have done this to Jay Lethal. It is too bad.

"We beat him to within an inch of his life, then we left him in a parking lot, with cab fare, because that's the kind of guys we are" - Kurt Angle on Rhino

So yeah, Rhino's out of the main event thus far, unless they do the superman comeback, which is entirely possible with TNA

  When I heard Kurt say this. So, there is no telling who they are going to replace Rhino with.

Apparently Nash is seriously hurt - staph infection in the elbow, officials are fearing blood poisoning. Rather scary for a dude who wrestles once every 6 months.

Cornette was saying that Nash has a staph infection in his arm after the events in Japan, but who really knows with Nash.

^ beat me to it

Aside from Davari/Sewell dragging, this is probably the best TNA ppv i've seen in a while.

I haven't followed TNA enough in ages to really have any investment in the storylines, but the last 5 minutes of Angle/Jarrett was some of the worst upper-card caliber wrestling I've seen in a long time.

EDIT: okay, to be fair Angle's post match attack was good, looked believable and was sold incredibly by Jarrett. But where was this stuff a few minutes ago?

Tenay's all disgusted and then orders the replay. LOL.

Thanks for the stream link. I always forget when TNA is on to check it out, but I have been checking it out tonight. That link also works on the PS3 browser, in case you don't feel like sitting in your desk chair to watch it. The chat client doesn't seem to work though, but not a huge deal for me.

I should be getting a Wii soon. Will its browser support streams so I can watch on my TV?

EDIT: PS3 has a browser? =-o

I hate sitting at my computer desk for 3 hours 2 Sundays out of each month.

I highly doubt the Wii will be able to run these streams. In a recent firmware update for PS3 the web browser was updated to be compatible with more flash players than only just youtube.
TNA will never improve until they realize how overbooked they are.
Two, count 'em, two "good guy gets all bloody but WON'T GIVE UP IN THE FINISHING HOLD OF HIS RELENTLESS OPPONENT!" matches...in a row!

Billy Gunn as a mystery partner! The worst since Snuka at Survivor Series '96?

Well, after seeing that I am going to bed because that just made me not want to see that match even more.

Way to go TNA. You bring us up so high with quality matches but bring us down with such shitty finishes. Guess, the only good thing came from the PPV is that Alex Shelley finally got some individual gold for the Motor City.

Wow, why even do the count-out thing then, okay, the first 90 minutes of this pay per view were the best TNA pay per view ive ever seen. The rest will just be ignored
Mickey Rourke won best actor in a drama at the Golden Globes. Woah.
Cool. It's most likely the pinnacle for The Wrestler, though. I'll be somewhat surprised if he gets nominated for an Oscar.

No, he'll be nominated for sure, winning the Oscar is still up in the air.

The sad thing is most people won't get a chance to see this until its out on DVD because of the limited release.

I'm not sure if I just missed the post announcing it, but I just noticed that Smackdown vs. Raw 09 DLC (Even Bourne, etc) has been up on the PSN since January 7th.. it's still MIA for the 360. What gives? Maybe tomorrow?

There's not even a Smackdown vs. Raw 09 section on the Marketplace.

I noticed there wasn't a section for it on XBL a few weeks ago when I was looking for the DLC (to see if it was released on XBL yet, since I think the press release hinted that it was coming second to PS3).

Y'all didn't even get a demo of the game? That's really strange.

I'm not really sure if there was a demo or not. I don't think that there was, I remember playing the demo on PS3.. I didn't really check for it on the 360.

Average age of all participants in TNA's PPV main event last night (excluding AJ Styles): 42.6 years.

Average including Styles: 40.5 years.

AJ Styles (30) and Brother Devon (36) were the only under-40's in the main event last night.

Their champion is also 49 years old.

Getcher walker and come cross the line.

I'd always thought Devon was older, don't know why .

I did too, I thought he was at least 40.

I feel that way about a lot of the ECW guys, since I've watched them in their careers since I was a sophomore in high school back in 1994. I've known them longer than a lot of guys.

On another note, this guy may be the most over never-over guy on the face of the planet. Shit's too-too funny.
