The Presidential Veto & the stem cell bill the House has voted for
I think it would be worth it just to see other ethnic groups struggle to find things to say in its place. It'd be kind of like that South Park episode where they bleeped out everyone who wasn't gay from saying 'fag'. Although I am curious as to why only $$$$$$ gets bleeped.

Edit: Aha! more preferential treatment for Black people!!
I guess you completely missed the episode with the million millionaires march, because they have no preferential treatment for black people

When fertalized zygotes are given more value than the handicapped and people with alzheimers, you know something is wrong.

"We should be a culture of life."

Ha ha ha.
Wait, the men didn't want women at their school? My high school went coed in 93 or 94 (can't remember), and believe me, the guys didn't need much convincing.

The teachers liked it too, they said the maturity levels greatly increased when you got women in class.
That's what she told me, and she was pretty tough. We ran long distance track together, and she was no girly-girl.
Out of fairness, while I agree that he missed the point (or seized an opportunity to impress us with his knowledge), I think it's rather uncouth to criticize someone for what knowledge they possess.

Really? Even when that knowledge is about how to lure a 12 year old into your car.;)

I was simply trying to goad him into expalining why he knew this, hopefully it is more entertaining than I'm a violence loving history buff.

the flag that is being discussed was not really used until the end of segregation when I believe the alabama state house decided to fly it high in the air to oppose integration of blacks into society. Some may say it is for states' rights or just wishing it was the good ol' days but to me those states' rights and those good ol' days are nothing but relics of hate.

Getting back to the original topic, we are fallin behind in science because we gotta ask god first then do the experiment second. This is slowly crippling are country in the field of science except of course on the military side of the equation.

the whole war took place in his backyard. I am pretty sure like any other state he had to take a class on what all the history of his state is.

I think you misunderstood my post. I was saying that I was curious as to why N*gger was censored by myke in his post instead of the other slurs. Once I posted, I could see that the site itself was doing it, answering my question. I then made a joke how this site is giving black people preferential treatment.

That reminds of the of "billionaires for bush" march I saw in boston. I still got pics of that, and the monopoly man was the main speaker.

Though (referring to another post) I never took a class on state history, and I don't know any public school kids who did either. Maybe they just don't care here, or maybe because massachusetts history is so ingrained in the revolution that that's why they don't care to set aside a class for it.

That's dissapointing I was hoping for some sort of neo-nazi/skinhead/slaver fetish.
I've lived in many parts of Virginia most of my adult life. I knew a Virginian girl in high school who bravely went to the citadel in the second coed entry class, but had to drop out because the men there were deliberately ruining her life and reputation. As a Virginian, I would like to send a big "fuck You" out to the bigoted tradition of sexism.

Virginia is not North Carolina, and we don't want to make the confederate flag part of our state flag.
That's nice and all, but living there so long you should know the Citadel isn't in Virginia, it's in South Carolina.

Maybe you are thinking of the Virginia Military Institute once called the "West Point of the South." It was made to admit women around the same time.

Good point.
Chalk that one up to the deficiencies of the American education system. At any rate, the laughable point is the use of the term "battle flag" by itself. I'm aware that many colleges (and probably others sports teams with devout followings) have various kinds of "battle flags." Mine has a large "C" on it, in the shape of the cat's claw (we are, after all, the Bearcats). The University of Kentucky has a large blue flag with a white "K" on it.

To say "battle flag" with no specification about what is on the flag is intentionally leaving out the most significant point behind the contention at Ole Miss. If he had said, "confederate battle flag," I'd be perfectly content with the amount of detail of specified (although that doesn't absolve me of not recognizing other confederate flags - will you ever forgive me?). By itself, though, "battle flag" is intentionally misleading and similarly laughable.

myke.
...and my analogy it still funny, so nyah!
Fair enough. :)
That is perhaps the most thickheaded thing I've read all day. No one said it wasn't a battle flag, simply that it is a confederate flag.
You need to read before you post.
