Last November I bought the world's most powerful console. It runs at 3.2 G, and through hyperthreading can perform six instructions at once. How come some games look like crap? I offer evidence:
- Last weekend I bought Blazing Angels. Once you get to the Pearl Harbor level the game is a v-unsyched nightmare. This completely ruins the illusion of flying.
- Burnout 360. The xbox version runs 60 fps flawlessly. Sure the grpahics look fantastic, but try racing on the european track with full traffic. I've seen the game drop below 30 fps...
- Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Great game, but occasionaly when using the sniper scope the game will drop in framerate, and the scope will lose it's fluidity.
- I won't mention Need for Speed's graphics gliches, nor PD0's screen tearing.
Why can't all games look at good as Call of Duty 2?
