Looks like 'The Wonder Years' will be back on TV yet again...The channel 'Ion' will be airing what looks to be the complete series in correct order. I assume these will be the syndicated episodes but since the show has not been on TV in 3-4 years, its a welcome addition.

ION Television will launch its new schedule on Monday, April 2 with
the additions of sitcoms Alice and The Wonder Years to the weekday
line-up. Closing the ION line-up at 10 p.m. EST will be back-to-back
episodes of the popular sitcom The Wonder Years.

QFMFT.

But unfortunately it has stupid music licensing issues.

Criminy.

Hahaha. I have every episode on DVD already. Perfect scans of VHS (well as perfect as VHS scans can be) that I made myself like 2 years ago.

I break them out every now and then to watch them, plus i always have to make copies for my frie....ummm....umm.. myself. *looks over shoulder

In other words, it's better that it isn't on DVD. For an example of what happens when they try to put it out on those ol' magical discs without resolving the music licensing issues I'll point you to the upcoming WKRP in Cincinatti DVD set.

This is only important because THEY CUT ENTIRE SCENES when they couldn't edit out the unlicensed songs.

If they did that to The Wonder Years I bet the first thing the higher-ups will say will be "oh, they won't mind in the slightest!", followed closely by "why aren't they buying this? Damned fans. Screw them! No more sets!"

I agree. I wasn't too hot on Mission Hill losing all the licensed music in it either, but at least they must have thought about it beforehand and could just rip out what was there and quickly replace it.

'Course, no way that's true with TWY. So here's hoping they can get this stuff under control eventually.

:(
I wants the dvds. I don't know if I get the ION channel.
Check TVGuide.com . I didn't think I had it either but it was mixed in between the Mexican and Japanese channels of all things.

ION I think use to be Pax. I remember watching The Wonder Years on Nick at Night a long time ago. Also it was on whatever Spike TV use to be before it became Spike.

I'm on wanting a complete DVD set - only with the real music.

and to add insult to the fact that said DVD set does not exist is the fact that my local PAX/ION affliate is religion happy and doesn't really follow ION's posted lineup so no wonder years for me.

Thanks OP! Our ION station is airing it. It'll be nice to watch again.

I too am still holding out for a DVD set. Hope they get their act together with the music licensing crap.

So is mine. Its religious sermons 10 hours a day, followed by 'Alice' and then 'The Wonder Years'.

Wow, I do have it. How these guys are able to show this is beyond me, but I'll be watching. Thanks for the info on the show and station.
Sweet!

Will the episodes be the original versions or sans-good-music versions?
So far, all original.
