Thinking about running Philly Marathon for a charity...

Thinking about joining the DetermiNation group to run for the American Cancer Society.

Problem is, they require $500 by race day (11/21/10 is the date of the Philadelphia Marathon) and a total of $1000 eventually, and I don't know how I'll be able to raise that much. Any tips? I don't want to commit myself because they'll charge my CC if I can't raise enough. Don't wanna end up paying that much as I'm a student.

Haha, I hate the ridiculous prices required to run in races.


I'm hoping I won't have to use much of my own money to raise the funds, just my time to train and get people to donate.
