Thinking of getting a PSP. What to look for?

I got some birthday money and I'd like to blow it on a PSP (I think). I'm mostly interested in the ability to do things other than play games - I love to tinker with my electronics. I've got a PS3, so the connectivity there is going to be nice, too. I don't have a problem with new or used and money's not really an object but I love finding a good deal. So, what should I look for a in a PSP? What's the going price these days for a used model? I'm going to Japan in 2 weeks; should I just buy one there? Any other considerations/thoughts? TIA.

I'd say wait until you get to Japan to get a cool unique PSP, but then again the American dollar has lost a lot of value around the world so you might be paying more for a PSP in Japan than over here.

I still think the white PSP is the way to go, and you can get one here. I actually kind of like the pale green PSP, but I don't think I'd buy it over the white. Definitely get a lighter color or it's going to look like a giant fingerprint after about 30 seconds.

I ordered the Mint Green PSP and am waiting for it to come.

But yes, the white PSP looks very very nice!!

Yeah. I'm thinking the best route to go would be to wait until I'm over in the Motherland to get anything electronics related. It'd be nice to have for the long flight over there, but I've got my DS (and my 1 year old  ) to keep me occupied.

Yeah, I'll be flying over to Japan in Nov, and I plan to pick up another PSP (or hopefully a new DS Lite v2 or some new gadget while I'm there!)
