IF you wanted to know you could just go to the video and see the link to the complete edtion of Thomas paines common sense, its not about right or left this is one of the founders words of wisdom to all people

Anyone find it funny that Thomas Paine spent the 1790s in France? Why go to all that work and split as soon as you're about to reap the benefits? It seems that the Founders didn't love freedom as much as revolution. It's kind of hard to sell pamphlets when the revolution is over.

It was because France was going through growing pains as well , he saw it as a responsibility to mankind to see that all men's natural rights are respected. If you read paines writings your attempts to defame and missconstue his actions would become irrilivent because you would see the truth and his love of liberty for all of mankind.
I want to ask you were you were indoctrinated at or if you are simply a member of the black panthers or think your the new malcom x

he actually ended up dissing how violent the french were becoming and got thrown in jail for it as well..

All the while giving no inkling of what it is in context to nor why I believe it is relevant. Thomas paines words are still inspirition for any movement dealing with natural rights. I dont understand why there are so many trolls and haters on this thread when this qoute is dealing with liberty for all men regardless of political affiliation. could be applied to any administration in the past at least 20 years.
Why dose this curtail so much hatred? did any of you listen to and watch the video throughout?

Okay how? You just linked to a video. I have an original idea, if you have something to say, now don't get lost now because this is the important part, say it. Seriously did Thomas Jefferson just get a copy of The Politics, and slam that shit down on a desk at the constitutional convention expecting others to bow down to his awesomeness just because he brought a book? Hell no, his ass would have been laughed out of the room, yet it is now okay to do the same with videos and not expect some cursory ridicule? No, its worse, it is not even the original work but a highly condensed (read barely a paragraph) view or quote from the work and people expect others to respect the video. Seriously!? Middle school kids do more work on classroom assignments than you did trying to shill for Ron Paul Thomas Paine.

But he was very good friends with Napoleon. Obama gets skewered for Bill Ayers but Paine gets a free pass because he wrote Common Sense?
