We have just received an email from Attorney Jack Thompson stating that his 15-year-old son purchased the Mature-rated game Bioshock from a local Best Buy. Thompson informs us that BioShock is created by "the notorious Take-Two interactive," you may remember them from publishing such ultra-violent games as Grand Theft Auto. Read More...
Will this guy ever stop?
The entire video game age rating system is a fraud perpetrated upon American families from sea to shining sea.
oh man i love that quote

This one's my favorite:
No word if Thompson will allow his son to play the copy of BioShock he purchased.
Take Two? I thought bioshock was published by 2k.

Also, we need " internet batmen ( matlocks)" to find out that kids GT to see if he played it or not.

I'm pretty sure Take Two owns or has stake in 2K.
His son should be locked up preemptively since he'll now definitely be a school shooter.
QFT.

I mean, I'm 15 in a couple of months, and I play M-Rated games. I don't even want to think about all the terrible crimes I've commited [/EXTREME SARCASM]

Forget crimes. Did you know the devil works at Take Two? You've actually sold fragments of your soul to Lucifer each time you've played an M-rated game.

And videogames won't be the cause. If Jack Thompson was my dad, I'd be fucked in the head too.

2K Games is a subsidiary of Take-Two. A subsidiary's (2K) control is held by the parent company (Take-Two).

I love this:
Thompson is demanding that Best Buy fire the store's manager and the girl with the "piercing through her right eyebrow" who sold his son the game.

Who did you buy it from son?

The devil lady with rings in her eye!

LOL

LOL

There's nothing like a good father-son activity.

I think Thompson has a ban hammer up his ass rather then a massive dick.

Seriously, what the hell have videogames done to him? What has entertainment done to him? You want a perfect world, Jack, then go to some fucking island in the middle of nowhere and create "Thompson's Hole" where no one gets to do Jack shit (pun intended).

and btw, OOOPSSS Im getting Bioshock free online and im not 17! LETS BAN THE INTERNET FOR GIVING ACCESS TO M RATED GAMES!

Given current levels of conservatice hypocrisy, who wants to bet against Jack owning massive amounts of video game stock and driving up sales with his ridiculous publicity stunts?

Ha! I was just thinking something similar. With all the self hating gay Republicans, you know deep inside Jack Thompson has a love affair with videogames. He's just pissed that millions of people get to enjoy videogames, and he has to drink the Christian kool aid.

If Jack Thompson were a responsible parent, he'd have used the parental settings on the Xbox 360 at home so that his son simply couldn't play it. Then, voila! Lesson learned - don't buy $60 games you can't play on your console.

But, of course, it is more reasonable (for a political conservative of all people!) to blame the game industry and Best Buy for problems, even when there are resources in the Thompson household that ensure the game could not be played. Your household and mine, too.

:hot:

i didn't know a 360 could do that!!!!

(i smell a prank erupting on halo 3 launch day)

THAT IS TOO HARD READING THE MANUAL IS HARD HOW WOULD ANYONE FIND THAT THIS TECHNOLOGY IS SO CONFUSING!!!!!

That's the average parental jackass' response right there. Am I the only one beginning to think you need to take a test before you can have kids?

Nope. Just the latest in a long line of people who lament the stupidity/laziness of the average person.

Videogame censorship has always been an issue near and dear to me. I really loathe the assertion that violence in videogames will make kids go and do violent things. The only travesty of justice is that a copy of Bioshock went to somebody who probably isnt even going to be allowed to play it.

I wonder what pisses Thompson off more, the violence in Bioshock or Ayn Rand's personal philosophies espoused therein?

I bet that kid gets his ass beat in school every day.

"Hey, that's Jack Thompson's kid, his Dad is trying to ban videogames!"

*punch, punch, punch*
