Do/Did you have any problems with Lexar Pro Duo memory sticks?

I am trying to get the 4GB @ frys this week for $40 but I have heard that Lexar brands are significantly slower than Sandisk.

I wonder if this would slow down when you run homebrew games..

thanks!

Its speed difference can only be seen during file transfer. Say if I transfer a 100MB movie file to a Sandisk memory stick, it'll take about 20 seconds. Transferring to a Lexar will take 25 seconds. When watching the movie clip, you will not notice any stuttering, since it doesn't need to read the movie file as fast. So you're save to buy the Lexar brand, they're inexpensive and for the purpose of PSP, it's plenty good.

i just bought the 4gb lexar at fry's yesterday for 40$
I'm running 3.52 M33-4
Runs all my movies and games iso and cso lvl9compression perfectly.
i havent try all my plugins yet but i just used pimpstreamer and it worked great.
i was a little worry before i bought it because of the rumors but now that i see it working for myself im happy i went for it

damn now im just pissed i didnt jump on it when it was going for 30$ last month.

I read on the playstation.com forums that a few people were having issues with CSO files. They then switched to Sandisk and had no issues.

I also read that the Sony MSPD cards are made by Sandisk, so there's that.

A few of us just bought what is supposed to be a 4gb Sandisk from amazon for $39 shipped.

I guess I would rather play it safe for a few dollars more.
