Ever get embarassed by all the deliveries you receive?
I just got my third box this week and its only Wednesday!

At this point, everyone just assumes its games (and they are right!).

Over the last week or so I was out of the office a couple times for a day or two and I had like 3 packages of games waiting for me each time! Then when I got back in the office, a stroller was delivered. :) I get all my pckages delivered to work. Like javeryh says, I am proud to be a gamer!!
why not just send them to your house/apartment/whereeveryoulive?
I don't get any packages delivered to my house 'cause I live in GI (Gary, Indiana) Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not worried about mail getting stolen here, it's just that things like the postal sevice & the utility companies realy just don't care out here. A water main broke up the road and when I called to report it, they just shut off the water to my neighborhood and sent out a repair truck 2 DAYS LATER!!

As far as packages at work, my boss is always curious as to what games I've got. He was about as excited as I was when my Neo-Geo AES system was delivered.

Cause if for whatever reason it doesn't fit in the mail box, it's not just sitting on the doorstep. There is always someone at work so at least I know no one will walk off with it before I get home.

Yea, I get the exact same thing. I don't ship to my apartment because its a pain in the neck to actually get the package (they leave them at the rental office and they're open while I'm at work). I went on a binge and got like 30 packages in less than a month.. I started to get odd stares from people.

edit - EBGames sending packages in plain brown boxes doesn't help either.. half of the people think I'm getting porn or sex toys.

Yep - I send everything to my work. Last Friday we had a blackout (that's SoCal for ya) and while sitting there, beginning to bake in the heat, I decided to check my mailbox. It so happens the mail lady was delivering mail. I took a gander at the packages she had and noticed my name. So I told her that was for me. She replied with "yep, and so is this, and this". 3 packages in one day :) She called me a shopaholic no less! The sad thing was, I had no idea what was in one of the boxes (the sender name didn't match the store i bought it from) so it was like getting a christmas present :)

As for sending packages to work - it's either that or have them sitting on my porch, or undelivered due to USPS sucking. There's nothing worse than having to wait in line to get a package at the Post Office.

Wow you have a good boss, I wish my future boss is as good as your.

My wife and I work from home so thankfully I don't have this problem. Well except for the time the new mailperson left a package in the road! My wife heard the mail truck leave, went outside and saw it sitting there. Not on the side but almost in the middle of the road. Needless to say we got a new delivery person...

Ya know, that question haunts me everytime I think about it. Here I thought you had to pass a test to get in...

When I recieved Break from FedEx, it was thrown onto my porch from the truck. Luckily, they didn't throw the computer the next day.

Literally thrown? As in the "ol heave ho"? I'd be pissed as all hell over that kinda disrespectful laziness...

I didnt see them do it, but from its position, and the fact the box was slightly beat up, they pulled into my driveway, and threw the box out the window onto the porch. Luckily nothing was broken, or I would've been mighty pissed.

i doubt this. As both UPS and FEDEX need to knock on your door to get a signature for your delivery (at least where I live).

About why I get pakages sent to work as opposed to home

Most importantly for me, I hate to get home and find one of those notices saying "we tried to deliver your package , but no one was home"... so you have to make a trip out of your way the next morning to the post office... as least if I get it sent to work, I KNOW it came in that particular day... if it is a dvd i can watch a little bit of it during lunch on my computer too :D

A couple of mondays ago I had FOUR boxes come in the mail for me at work, 3 were game trades from the CC sale

Should be getting in my Sledgehammer Season 1 today as a matter of fact
