Okay, so I did some running around town today and picked up a couple of good deals.
First, I took a couple of old VHS tapes I was ready to get rid of to a store for trade in credit. Combined with the credit I had left from last time I had about $3.50 total in credit. I went digging thru a couple of boxes of games they had marked down. They were new titles that had not sold so they marked em all down to $7.99. I snagged me a copy of Cel Damage (a cel shaded/cartoon insanely fast driving game). It had been $19.99 new and noone bought it, so, after my credit, I got it for only $5.12 (cheaper than anywhere else locally, and, on ebay + shipping).
Second, I ran to a SMALL shop in town that usually has higher prices than the other stores. On the shelf the guy had a MadCatz Panther DC joystick ( http://www.teamxonline.com/dreamcast/reviews/pantherdc.htm ) for $15.00. I asked to try it out and he put Quake 3 in a DC and lemme play around. It worked good (for a console controller in a FPS...hehe). He said the thing had been at his store since he practically opened the store (i.e. a long time). I asked him if that was his best price. He said he could let me have it for $10! Woohoo. The last one I saw on eBay went for $46 with a copy of UT. :}
Okay, anyone else have a good day?
