Doubtful. Amazon doesn't price match. They do however lower the prices to competitors sale prices on occasion.

It's not currently in stock by Amazon directly though. Back ordered until April 18th.

You can try that. Maybe if enough people do it, they might drop the price. Although very unlikely since the Newegg deal requires a coupon code.
 
Yeah, I asked about Amazon PMing it before I clicked the link, then saw the coupon code was for another $10 off. I doubt they'll price match it.
 
I don't NEED this. But my controller's left analog stick sticks to the left from time to time. VERY annoying while played NFS MW. Randomly swerving to the left = Lots of crashes.
 
good deal, i doubt it would be lower than this. but you never know. With neweggs limited quanities/stock, it will probably sellout, once this makes it over to sd. better get it whiles it is available.
 
Thanks man and nice find. I needed a new controller as my fable 3 one is starting to drift. I had my eye on this. 40 bucks is a good deal.
 
I won one of these through Tomb Raider's Twitter and it's a neat controller. It's the first one I own of the newer batch with the twist D-pad and thumbsticks without the grib dots. I don't like the new thumbsticks and the D-pad feels flimsier but the controller looks sexy as hell. The parts that look damaged on the controller actually are grooved in the controller which I wasn't expecting.

The officially don't. They may drop the price of a game to match a retailers price, if they so choose. If you tried calling them up to be like "I want to buy this controller and newegg has it on sale for 39.99" they would straight up be like, "ok? What's your point?"
 
I really dislike the disco red color, how is this the same theme as TR (haven't played the game yet, but never seen this color in the videos)?

I got this on launch day of Tomb Raider for the same price at Best Buy so I have it already. Haven't opened it up yet, but it looks ok. Not a huge fan of it. Definitely like my Halo 4 controller a lot more. Love the blue LED (I know it is simple to change the LEDs, but I don't want to, lol).

Your using the term loosely.

Price matching is a service.

Matching competitor sales on their own will is not.
 
Honestly I would love to have this for the improved D pad alone. The design of the controller looks pretty sweet as well.

It looks really bright in that picture, but it looks much better in person. I love mine.

lol i know i'm slacking...but i couldn't stomach $60 for a controller

$40 is much better...now i just need that figure from the CE and i'll have pretty much everything i want TR-wise

you must be a big fan, if you are going out of your way to get the figure/ collectible/ items from the new reboot "tomb Raider" series. Did you also buy the game on day one release?

It doesn't look very slick to me compared to the previous Xbox 360 custom controllers. FWIW, every official custom controller in the past has become rare and valuable.

Regardless, my Gears 3 controller puts this one to shame.

i've been following this game since it's announcement, it definitely lived up to my personal hype
 
Yeah, the red is more of a dark / firebrick-ish Red. It's not super bright :)

The controller definitely fits the game. There are actual scratches (not just surface sticker stuff) and the bandage is also textured. None of the scratches get in the way when you're holding it. The DLC character is bleh though.

The transforming D-pad is very nice as well! I wish they would adapt it to their normal controllers already, but I'm sure its a cost issue.

unfortunately, there might not be a sequel. Due to news, from square enix, because of the sales number for it fell below their expectations.

Just looked up that Halo 4 controller, that one is good looking, wish I knew it existed while it was still available. Blue LED, clear body, pretty sweet, going to have to try and hunt one down for a reasonable price. Also snagged this one, 40 is decent and I think this one looks pretty nice as well.

Thanks! My chrome controller has been boning me while playing Battleblock Theater. Right and left often cause the character to duck (down).
