This may be a case of YMMV

I was at my local EB yesterday and noticed that they had the Top Spin/NCAA 2005 two pack tagged with the $14.99 price scratched out and replaced with a $7.99.

Since Top Spin itself goes for $18 pre-owned, I decided to pick it up. The guy scans it and it rings up $14.99 (as per the website). Assuming it was too good to be true, I started to say how I didn't want it. He then notices the $7.99 price and takes off $7.

I was going to post this last night but I figured it might have been a fluke, so I decided against it.

I go back today and notice they've got another copy of the two pack sporting the scratched out $14.99 price tag.
"Scratched out"? Sounds like someone in the store did that (a customer).. odd.
Honestly, I'm always a little suspicious when I find them throughout the store. Thats why I wasn't going to cause a scene if he didn't mark it to $7.99.

I assumed it was maybe they were trying to pass off an old copy, but the other one appeared.

I know it might not help, but maybe if your local EB clerk is cool enough. here's a scan of my reciept.

thats a good deal, definetly YMWV because of the manual adjustment but still a good deal.

I remember buying both of them for full price when they first came out.....
