Hello. I currently have $100.64 worth of store credit for Coconuts (an FYE store) and I don't want it because the selection at my local FYE stores are crappy. I know many of you feel the same way. It would be awesome if the employees at my FYE stores would let me exchange my store credit slip for a gift card of equal value, but for some odd reason they tell their customers that it's "against store policy". FYE.com has a much wider variety and broader selection than my local FYE stores, so I prefer a gift card to buy things online. My question is this, what am I going to do with all this unwanted credit? I much rather have the $100.64 in cash, or hell even in the form of a gift card to GameStop, Sears, Best Buy, Target, anywhere!

Where does all the unwanted credit go?

You can get about 70% for suncoast cards on ebay, I think it's about 60 or 65% for fye due to the lack of an actual gift card. Though with that you can still by more anime and movies at deepdiscountdvd for the 60% cash than the 100% credit at fye.

Yep, that's something to consider when getting credit at FYE. They have reasonable prices on some things, but much of what they sell is so insanely inflated that it's not worth it, even with the incredible credit they give. Use your credit towards game hardware, MP3 players, CD/DVD storage, or new games at full price if you can't wait.

Here's something that I found recently -- if you can pick up newer used games at FYE, they're usually around $36. Combined with the current promo of spend $30, get a $10 coupon to use later (though you can't spend the coupon till August), that makes for cheap newer games.

You can take those newer games to either Mediaplay (they currently have a promo where you get an extra 25% in credit or cash when you trade in 2 or more games), or to Gamestop (with the extra 50% promo). With either promo, you can get up to $37.50 in credit per game.
