Toys R Us (returning a game from a past special/deal)

Hey does anyone know what happens when you return a game that is apart of a toys r us deal.

Here is basically what I'm asking I bought 4 games when then had the buy 3 get 1 free deal.

I would like to return one of the games that is listed as $59.99.

So do I get back $59.99 or a percentage of that since I got one free?

I have my receipt and it is still within the 90 days you can return stuff, so can I get my money back or only get the $59.99 plus tax on a gift card?

hmmm good question, my guess would be they will let you exchange it only i would think, but i could be wrong. so its worth a shot at getting your $ back.
 
Chances are exchange only or a gift card. I doubt they give you your money back, because you wouldn't have fulfilled the deal of "Buying 3" to get Get 1 Free. At least with a Gift Card, they still get your money

It's extremely unlikely they'll give you any money back on it, gift card or otherwise.

1) Tell you that you can't return the item unless you want to return all four items, as it's a "bundle" promotion.
2) Do an even exchange on the game in question for another title, without doing anything for the other three games.
3) Rering the whole transaction out, with returning the four games and re-ringing the three "old" games with the "new" one.
 
Took it back today and they gave me a gift card for $62.99 which is with tax. Didn't totally want a gift card, but oh well, will use it eventually, thanks to everyone who posted replies.

yea i expected them to trade for another game, or like you said make him bring back all four games.
 
Yeah, you definitely got lucky dude... they employee who handled the return probably didn't know what he/she was doing.

Normally if they do give you a refund on promotions, they take into account the whole amount of the promotion and divide by the number of games you received (total price of the 4 games you got divided by 4) .
