Trade In Policies

Would like to know how many copies of one game can you trade in at Gamerush, Gamestop, and FYE?

Gamerush: You can only trade in 2 copies of the same title per day. I learned this already from a trade-in I did.

Gamecrazy: Doesn't have a limit on trade in.

Ebgames: Limit one copy per customer per day.

EB is 1 copy per person per day per account per whatever.

Gamecrazy didn't seem to have a problem when I traded in 4 copies of Mad Maestro once.

It's completely YMMV. I've turned in multiples in one shot at EB, and I've had to put multiples on seperate tickets.

With GameStop, I have only ever been able to trade in one copy of a game. At all. I should pre-order two copies of a hotly anticipated game (New Zelda?) sometime, then try and trade in two copies of a crap game. When they won't take them, I should pull out the two good games (Zelda) and say, "Oh. That's too bad..." And walk out of the store. All just to spite them...

Speaking of policies - does GS, GC and EB require you to fill anything out, show id, when trading in games or dvd's?

it really depends on the employee working at the time you're there. they'll usually ring you up on seperate receipts if they will take the multiples.

My EB takes 2 of the same game at one time.
