I'm trading just about anything I have for M:tG cards. I'm mainly looking for the newest 6 sets, unless something was reprinted in those sets (like a card from an edition that was reprinted and is now legal standard)

Some of my items for trade includes :

PS3:

sealed copy of Red Faction
SOCOM
Warhawk
3D Dot Game Heroes
Disgaea 3 (PS3)

I have a PSP system with a brand new screen (1001 model)
I also have a DS lite with a perfect screen in mint/near-mint condition

Although Modnation Races is the only game I don't own you have.

Sorry to hijack Kurr, guys, again I THINK is the key issue here, I stopped collecting and playing around 8-9 years ago. I have to see what I have via going to storage and pulling the cards from there.

Hey there. I'm a TO for MTG and have tons of extra promos (FNM, Full Box, Pre-release/Launch, etc). It would really be easier for you to give me a short list of things you may be interested in. Some cool stuff I have atm though:

4 x FNM FOIL Bloodbraids
4 x Duel/Planeswalkers Promo FOIL Nissa Revane
FOIL Promo Path to Exile, FNM FOIL Oblivion Ring, all FOIL Gateway Promos from last 6 sets
Divine vs. Demonic Duel Decks (sealed)
Etc, etc.

I'll also be getting the full box promo for M11 soon, the Birds of Paradise, as well as the Pre-release / Launch cards.

those sound interesting. I assume these are tournament legal as well?

I know i definitely would be into the BoP. I remember having those back in the day and could always find a home in a deck.
 
I have not played in ages. Are there differences with the new and old cards? Because I have a decent collection I would be willing to dust off if you wanted.

The art style has progressed quite a bit over the years. The most prevalent thing is that there are different formats/tournaments that allow cards of different ages to play. Legacy lets you use cards from any set. Extended only lets you use cards from the last.....6-7 sets, I think. Standard lets you used the last 2 sets.

Sets have also become more balanced as a whole. The really older cards had some game-breakingly powerful cards, along with less than good cards. Comes with the designers getting more experience.

There are some really powerful cards these days too, but they either won't automatically guarantee a win, or they're really hard to get out.
 
thats not exactly right, but it has it for the most part. there are things called "blocks" that are 1 edition, one stand alone set, and usually 2 expansions. Until a "block" is complete with all its other parts (edition, expansions) you are able to use the previous "block" in your standard deck.

Legacy used to be called "type 1" and extended was "1.5" and standard was "2.0"
 
Hey Kurpp, I am going over the boxes now and would you prfer for me to put up a list of Rare and Uncommons first or everything?
 
Mostly the Rares and a few uncommons.

As far as commons, the only thing thats old that I would be into is lightning bolts

Not a problem, I just have to got hrough hundreds of decks I will probably start a new thread or mege it into mine, you can post a link to my thread if thats ok with you, I will let you know as i have to sort this during work at lunch time. I will have an excel list that I will be workind on throughout the week.
 
Sorry if it's been asked, but, do you have any SNES games? I have about 3000 or so M:TG cards (common/uncommon), a bunch of rares, some from newer sets (some worth a bit individually), a few cards signed by the illustrators, and a couple pre-release kamigawa cards from 2004.
