I'm torn by this. The McCain machine is displaying how they would spread the wealth around by employing people to canvass for them. Yeah capitalism! Unfortunately, their higher paid junta ranks are filled with obese penises who like to threaten free camera people with instant jail time. Just more proof that there's no genuine, groundswelling, grassroots love for McCain and that he's got conservatives by the balls and by default.

I'm not sure who to feel more sorry for: The dupes who'll walk the streets for any political hack for some change, the camera people who've been assaulted, or the volunteers who hawk for Obama for free when he has over twice as much money to "spread around."

Kind of amusing.

I didn't think much of it though, it was really just one dude that was an asshole though. Having worked at several places, there is usually one abrasive asshole at every location at every job like that.

I wouldn't feel sorry for anyone who freely volunteers their time, though I see what you're getting at here.
 
Unfortunately if there aren't laws against it, it's not too hard to go around finding some big hoss like that guy and his friends, paying them money and using them as your own personal army.

EDIT: To be clear - I'm talking about "hand on camera" man - the other guys seemed like they were decent individuals and the organizers just seemed to be awfully naive.
