TRU - Beauty and the Beast + Tinker Bell 3 pre-order deals (B&M) - here we go again!

typical guy

CAGiversary!
Toys R Us has two separate pre-order offers.

Beauty and the Beast: $5 pre-order deposit and get $10 off a movie you purchase at the same time.

Tinker Bell 3: $5 deposit and get a $10 gift card when you fulfill the pre-order.

So far this is the best I have come up with. Please contribute suggestions (or corrections) on making this deal better and I will update the OP.

Summary:

1) (Before Tinker Bell is released) Spend $10 to pre-order two tinker bells

2) (August) James and the Giant Peach special release price + $5 Beauty and the Beast Pre-order - $10 Beauty and the Beast pre-order credit - $10 Disney coupon

3) (Sept) Tinker Bell 3 special release price + $5 Beauty and the Beast Pre-order - $10 Beauty and the Beast pre-order credit - $10 Disney coupon - $5 pre-order credit (get a gift card that's active the next day)

4) (the day after you purchase Tinker Bell copy 1) Tinker Bell 3 special release price + $5 Beauty and the Beast Pre-order - $10 Beauty and the Beast pre-order credit - $10 Disney coupon - $5 pre-order credit - $10 Gift Card (get a gift card that's active the next day)

5) (Oct) Beauty and the beast special release price - $10 Disney coupon - $5 pre-order credit - $10 Gift Card

I'm fairly certain that none of these will cost more than $10. Some of them may even cost you nothing out of pocket, it really depends on the release prices. In the past, TRU has priced the Disney releases between 19.99 and 27.99.

WOW, that's convoluted :D
Now, if I read that carefully enough, you ordered 2 copies of tinkerbell, and 3 copies of Beauty and the beast (2+3+4). or was it just a lost copy/paste?

Here is what I Might go with (1 Tinker bell, though, 1 James and 1 Beauty and the Beast)

1) Spend 5 bucks on pre-order 1 tinker-bell
2)(august) buy James and the GP + Beauty and the Beast pre-order ($5) - $10 B&B credit - $10 coupon (James comes out probably around 5 bucks, or so)
3)(sept) buy Tinker bell - $10 Disney coupon - $5 pre-order credit (and get $10 GC) (Tinker Bell comes out around 5 bucks as well)
4)(Oct) buy BnB - $5 pre-order credit - $10 disney coupon - $10 giftcard (probably free ends up free, or close)

$10 bucks, 3 blu-rays, not too shabby :D

That is assuming they all get $10 coupon, but that seems standard with Disney

I order 2 copies of Tink, both of which I pick up. You can order as many copies of Beauty and the Beast as you need since you have no need to pick it up (I'm only picking it up once). Since you only put down $5 to get an immediate $10 credit, it makes sense to add a pre-order to it for every Disney movie you purchase since it's basically a $5 savings (put down 5 get credit for 10).

If we assume that each movie is $25, you will get all four movies (tink X2 + Beauty and the beast + James) for $25 and have a $5 gift card left. If you cut James and the Giant Peach out, you can get the other three for $15 and still have a $5 gift card left.

Opps, I edited the post above before you posted. This is for the Blu Ray combo packs. If you assume that each is priced at $25 for release week, you can get 4 for $25. If you cut out James and the Giant Peach, they other three are $15. Either way you have $5 worth of gift card left.

The math works out like this:

Pre-order Tink X2 = $10

James:
$25 + $5 pre-order Beauty - $10 credit for pre-order - $10 coupon
= $10

Tink copy 1:
$25 + $5 pre-order Beauty - $10 credit for pre-order - $10 coupon - $5 pre-order credit
= $5 + $10 gift card

Tink copy 2:
$25 + $5 pre-order Beauty - $10 credit for pre-order - $10 coupon - $5 pre-order credit - $5 from first gift card
= $0 + $10 gift card + $5 remaining on first gift card

Beauty and the Beast:
$25 - $10 coupon - $5 pre-order credit - $10 gift card
= $0 + $5 remaining on first gift card

Roughly half the cost is the pre-order for the two Tink movies!

It makes sense :applause:
Might have to add an extra pre-order of BnB to the tinker bell fest, to get those pesky 5 bucks off:)

This looks like a fantastic deal. My question is... what can I do with two tinkerbell movies that I have no desire to own?! lol

I only want Beauty and the Beast (and maybe James and the Giant Peach).

Whoa whoa.....lets not jump to conclusions and assume coupons are coming. I know its a very good possibility considering every other disney release has had them, but assumptions can lead to bad things.

Give them as gifts or sell them? I'm keeping one for my daughter and giving one as a gift personally. It will look like you gave them something that cost $35 and paid very little for it in reality.

I will correct down the road if the coupons are not put out. I believe it's a safe bet for now though.

And once again, something that's far more convoluted than necessary. I'm sure someone will make out like a bandit with this situation. Too much work for me.
Do most of you even want the Tinker Bell movie, or is it just for the family?
yeah, for the kid(s) I've got the other 2 so figure why not.

and for the record, this is only going to work IF there are coupons right? b/c this would likely make me cancel my newly placed Amazon order..

I'll consider the hassle when we figure out if there are coupons or not. We've had links up for other blu coupons months before release, and yet no Tinkerbell or James and the Giant Peach, which both release in the next two months.

i posted these promos in the coupon thread a week ago and the tinkerbell movie requires a $10 deposit, sorry to thread crap. WHEN the coupons become active they will all be posted in the main coupon thread, do you think the threads could be combined to keep all talk in one spot, i will update the op to show the process in the op in this thread.
