TRU exchange policy?

Ok, I recently exchanged 2 games from the Buy 2 get 1 free promotion last week. But I want to exchange my regular version of MK Vs. DCU for the Collector's Edition if they have it. Is it possible to exchange it using my receipt? I'll gladly pay the difference if any. I did not realize a collector's edition existed. It's going to be an X-mas gift for my bro and he doesn't care about CE's but I still want to give it to him ya know.
