TRU Sunday ad (8/15-8/21)

ShinAkuma

CAGiversary!
There's a few good deals in this weeks ad:

Buy Madden 2005 for PS2, get an Intec EA branded Wireless controller for $10.

Buy a black standard model GBA, and get Donkey Kong Country, Advance Wars 2, or Golden Sun 2 free.

NES Classic Xevious, Bomberman, and 2 others I can't quite remember (I think Donkey Kong and Excitebike) are $17.99.

I would have posted this sooner but they only let me see the ad at work just tonight.

all they stock for old GBA's are the black ones.... these deals were already in progress as of today and i THINK all classic NES are at 18

Nah, Zelda and Super Mario definately are not on sale. And yes, the NES classic prices were in effect already (for the month long instore flyer), but also appear in the weekly ad as well.

Trust me, I work at TRU, can't get more official than that.

No offense, but I've spent the past two days blowing the minds of TRU employees with my 50% off hauls. All too often these things are treated as 'need to know only' info. As if this stuff were being marked down by half because they wanted it to stick around.

Well, I admit there's a few stores out of any given retail chain where the people there got a collective IQ of a tree stump. Best Buy where I live knows nothing about what they sell, but the one the town over is awesome beyond all reason. Too bad it seems people keep telling me a majority of TRU are like the one you described, unlike the one where I work at where we know what we're doing and keep the place looking nice.

And at least our management was nice enough to let us know this exists in the newsletter they give us with our paychecks each week.
It was for a power rangers toy too!~
One of the few things I ever bought at TRU other than video games or related items was a Megazord. The show was in it's first season and I'd never heard of it (although I was familiar with the Japanese source) but one day when I was heading into TRU in in my former town of Thousand Oaks I saw a line forming by the entrance. I didn't know what to make of it and asking people what they were waiting for made it all the worse.

They have Megazords? Is that treatable?

I had several hundred dollars in Geoffrey money derived from nefarious activities I won't describe at this time, so I decided to get in line and pick up whatever this wondrous item turned out to be. When I called my brother later to ask if his son would want this thing he acted as though I'd performed a minor miracle.

They have some Control Bundle w/ DVD control (PS2) $14.99. Control Bundle w/ DVD Control and 4 player adapter $29.99 plus extra bundle in Metal Box Reg. $59.99 for $29.99
