hi, i didn't know where to post this.

anyway, i just bought an LG 26-inch tv, and ps2 games looked better on my old tv.

anyway, i was wondering if you guys had this tv (26LG30), and what your settings are, 'cause straight out of the box it looks ok, but it could be better, i think.

All SD content is going to look like this on your TV, it's taking a small resolution image and stretching it to your TV's native resolution. Yes, it sucks, but you'll get used to it.

If you're not already using a component cable, you can get one and a lot of games should look better. But you might as well get a 360.

At least make sure you're using component cables. There are a handful of PS2 games that look pretty good on an HDTV, particularly ones that support progressive scan.

And keep your sharpness setting(s) low, while taking care to not actually intentionally blur the picture (if your TV even allows you to blur it).

Get a calibration dvd. Then you can get your tv set up properly. I would say turn the sharpness down all the way, sharpness only adds "noise" to the picture and on the the ps2 game it adds even more "jaggies".
