Nixon's ruin led to a cascade of catastrophic events--the crude and humiliating abandonment of Vietnam and the Vietnamese, the rise of a monster named Pol Pot, and millions--millions--killed in his genocide. Noonan's off her rocker. It never seems to occur to her that had Nixon not covered up the break-in, none of those bad things would have happened. Somehow it's the fault of Mark Felt for confirming facts to Woodward & Bernstein.

By her logic, can we blame Ken Starr for the 9/11 attacks because he distracted Clinton with his Whitewater investigation?
