Typewriter

You bet!

But if you want the kind for writing with while pretending to smoke a pipe and being all sorts of pretentious, your best bet is probably Craigslist or perhaps a thrift store. No idea where you live, but there are several in my area. I suppose you could also try eBay if you don't mind going that route. Starting from near the bottom of THIS PAGE, there are plenty for about $50 and up, including shipping. Not a shabby deal. Of course, if you want one of those old typewriters that were available before the electric and portable models, you're definitely going to pay more than $50. Probably a lot more.

I would honestly say to start trolling flea markets and garage sales, this is the time of year for that, and thats How I got my 2 typewriters.......(Would sell you one but the one I would let go is missing some keys....sorry)

A good typewriter will set you back a lot. Plus, things are heavy as hell, if you want an old metal one the cost they go for to begin with on top of shipping would be insane. I know how heavy my Oliver 5 is.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun.

I want a typewriter now.

what's a typewriter? just kidding, man I forgot we used to have those things back in the day. It would drive me crazy not being able to instantly erase mistakes like on computers these days.

It does, I do that, minus the pipe and pretentious part... except mine doesn't work and I haven't had time to take it into a shop. It stopped advancing when you type/space. :/

Actually, a lot of typewriters allowed you to do that (they would apply a little strip of white-out for you). It's not quite the same, but hey, it's something.
