I was originally turned onto the film Equilibrium by a rogue review I happened to read, I watched the trailer, rented the movie, and ran out right after and bought the DVD. It has some incredibly inventive fight sequences on a budget of $20 milllion dollars. Some of you may have seen it, if not check it out, its one of those overlooked films which were passed over for wide release and shuttled off to dvd.

It stars Christian Bale before he hit it big with Batman Begins and probably had a hand in convincing Chris Nolan that Bale could handle the fight sequences.

Anyway, Ultraviolet, the next film from the director had its trailer go online today. Looks like he was able to do quite a bit with that extra $10 million dollars.

I can't wait for this movie. I loved Equilibrium and the gunkata fighting style. Will definately check this out soon after release.
 
Although I missed watching equilibrium in the theater, I will definitely see this one when it comes out. I just hope it is as good or even better than equilibrium.
 
I loved Equilibrium and I think Kurt Wimmer has alot of talent as a writer/driector, but despite that talent I don't know if Milla Jovovich can carry a film. I don't think she's the worst actress out there or anything, and I dunno if it's her choice's in roles or what, but her work thus fails to impress. She did a pretty good job in The Messenger and even Dummy I guess but she had a little more talent surrounding her in those films and they weren't really action like this one. Nevertheless I'll still see it, I'm just not exactly bubbling with high expectations.
 
Well, I thought Milla Jovavivch did a pretty good job in Fifth Element which I'm actually watching right now. In any case, I got Equilibrium on a whim from blockbuster and loved it. This Ultraviolet movie looks to carry the thread of awesome movies he's done.
 
bout time they released this film why not give us a sequel to equilibrium so we can enjoy the gunkata style yet again?

Jeez, no wonder I didn't know of its existence until after the fact, its widest release was 301 theatres.

I didn't know so many CAGs had seen Equilibrium, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised since nearly every person I showed the DVD to in college loved it.
 
Equilibrium was a great movie and Ultraviolet will be cool too but the talking when she keeps repeating her name and there is an echo reminds of the first Domino trailer.

OOOh, we've descended into total geekdom at my house, we own a copy of Equilibrium. I hope to gawd the new movie has some gun kata scenes in it!
