Alright, so this is probably my own fault, but let's see what you think.

I was in at Gamestop today and decided to buy Uncharted 2 GOTY for my dad for Father's Day. Being in a hurry, I decided not to check the case. Well, I get home, open it up and there is no voucher for the DLC. I bought it "new", mind you.

What should I do? Would Gamestop let me return it? Who's to say I didn't just use the code and then say there was nothing in there?

I would go back and say "hey, this didn't have the voucher, may I please have one with a voucher?"

Just be nice to them and say please and thank you.

If they aren't as nice ask to the the manager ASAP and start laying down the law.

They had no other ones that I know of, but I will try that method first. What is Gamestop's policy on returning new merchandise? I know the policies for opened is different than unopened, but everything is opened when you buy from Gamestop.

I was thinking of just returning it and getting the vanilla version, my dad wouldn't care.

The official policy is that you can't return an opened game, but since the vast majority of their games are sold as open now they really can't enforce it that much. Just go in and ask for another copy or an exchange. They shouldn't give you many problems.

Thanks for the quick responses guys! I'm pretty good friends with the manager so I'm sure I'll have little to no problems with the return/exchange. I just wanted some clarification.
You might have gotten it sorted out already, but pretty sure the receipt says you can return an opened new item for the exact same item.
Nah, I won't be going back today. I should have a few days. If anything, I'll just tell them it was a Father's Day present (it is) and I just noticed there was no voucher when I was wrapping it or whatever.

It does say that on the receipt, but the problem is that was the only GOTY edition they had. I checked both stores near me and they only had the vanilla. I think I'm going to ask if I can just get my money back and buy the vanilla version instead. Doubtful, but I hope they'll let me.
