So, what's everyone looking forward to? I *was* excited about BioShock until I found out it'll be $60! And I'm a big Star Wars fan, but TFU sounds like it's not going to be so great. I'm pretty out of the loop when it comes to games to watch out for, so what are you looking forward to? Multi-platform or exclusive?

Star Wars TFU - that game reminds me of Dark Sector, may not be that great review wise, however, I think TFU is just a decent action game, with some mechanics that work well. Only thing that makes me mad is that, Will we ever see Dark Vader kill a Jedi.... himself. After Episode 3 Dark Vader hunted and killed Jedi, that's what I want to see, whether its via video game, or movie. TFU had a chance to show that, and instead, they create a mediocre main character to do the dirty work. :(
 
Bioshock isn't being discounted at all? Weak. Any potential desire I had for it just got pushed back by about 6 months to a year.

Jedi May Cry, I mean... TFU has a lot of potential. I won't be buying it on release though, but that goes for any game at $60.

I still need to finish Resistance FOM before I get excited for #2, but I'm still looking forward to it.

Mega Man 9!! I grew up on Mega Man and I'm really excited to play this, old-school graphics and all.

And... it's not entirely PS3 related, but the top of my list is another throwback to the old-school: Dragon Quest 4 on NDS. DQ4 is probably my favorite RPG ever, and we got screwed out of the PSOne remake (that being the remote connection to anything Sony) all those years ago because of budget problems at Enix, or something to that effect.
 
Is this for the rest of the year? If so then ...

Pre-ordered = Mercenaries 2, Buzz Quiz TV, Socom, Little Big Planet, Motorstorm PR, Resistance 2, SingStar Vol 2, Call of Duty WaW, Bioshock, Wipeout HD, RockBand 2, Mirrors Edge and Fallout 3. I'd also say Project Origin but that seems to have slipped to 09 along with Ghostbusters.

Possibles = Prince of Persia, Valkyria Chronicles, Alone in the Dark (depending of upgrades)

Of course there could be other games that come out of nowhere but that's as of right now.

EDIT: Next year I have GOW3, RE5, Killzone 2 and Infamous pre-ordered.

Valkyria Chronicles, FAT PRINCESS, and White Knight Story if that shit actually exists anymore. Also Lego Batman, though I might get it for PS2 if it's not much different other than shinier graphics to save a few bucks (anyone have any experiences with Lego Indiana Jones PS2 vs. PS3?). Mercenaries 2 might also be a household purchase; I'm not interested, but my boyfriend loved the first one. Waiting for reviews and impressions on that one. Oh yeah, and Eternal Sonata and Ghostbusters if it ever comes out.
 
Playing my backlog of games across all the systems... Bioshock had me interested as well but full price... reminds of what they used to do to the cube lovers that waited and got a game 12 months later at full price....
 
LBP is a big one. Socom has me tempted. GT5 when it comes out in 2032 and I can't wait for the next Tekken!!!
 
I forgot about Fallout 3. I'm definitely looking forward to that. And LBP - I'm not sure. It looks cool and I'll probably get it eventually, but I'm not sure it'll be an immediate purchase.

WKC probably still exists, but Level 5 has gone silent over EVERYTHING (no word about DQIX even).

As for Dark Cloud 3, it's NOT confirmed at all, only a rumor 100% (it keeps coming from one PS magazine).

I still have $$$ left over to spend on what I want, but not a lot. I probably shouldn't spend it, but I'll spend some. That list was JUST PS3 though (doesn't include 360, DS, PSP, Wii, PS2, and older games I still haven't gotten). Most likely, I'll just buy half the stuff on the list. I have a crapload of games to trade-in if I get short on money.

The graphics are there, definitely, but it didn't make a huge impact for me. The thing I really enjoyed with Lego Indiana Jones on the PS3 was the wide screen as it made multiplayer much easier. I only played the PS2 version on a standard SD TV, so I can't comment if that version supports widescreen.

ever since I completed GTA IV and MGS4 I feel like a huge void has been opened up and there is nothing to fill it. Maybe Resident Evil 5 or GOW 3 but it's soooo far away from now.
