I asked the BestBuy people on Twitter, had to link the DotD page to him since he couldn't find it, awaiting an answer lol

this movie sucked so much ass. why would anyone want to own it? It's one of those watch once and never watch again types of movies.

I got a reply, had to walk him through how to get to the DotD page because he thinks it's outdated because he can't figure out how to get to the page besides the link I tweeted him *Facepalm*

UPDATE
Finally realized it was real, he said he's attempting to fix it

Because people have different opinions on things as you do. Just about every movie can be watched once and never watched again. Stop being an ass, and just don't view this thread if you don't like the movie.

Not enough gore for ya? I thought it was one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen. Use your imagination a little.

What's so creepy about it? It was so poorly done. The acting was terrible and completely took any suspense or eerie feelings away from it. I don't care here or there for gore, but this was a sad attempt at a Blair Witch Project type of movie and for me it failed big time. The characters are so one-dimensional and unlikeable that I didn't give a shit if they died or not. The ending by far was the worst.

Now I have heard from many people that seeing it in the theater was a better (scarier) experience, so perhaps that's why I wasn't as affected by it. Honestly though, if this is was passes for creepy these days, then the Horror genre is worse shape than I thought.

Here are some better creepy movies that have come out in recent years:

Let the Right One In (I hear the remake is decent too)
[REC] (remade into Quarantine which isn't as good)
The Descent
Them (ils in French)

imma go with ssjmichael on this, the film was pretty lackluster after all the build-up. You could almost tell how badly edited it was with the footprints on the floor scene. It looked like stop-motion filming (well primarily b/c it probably was)

I will say that the second one at least seems a little scarier b/c they may show the apparition or whatever. The first one wasn't even that good until the last 5 seconds when they go apeshit crazy..even then it was just meh.

I saw it in a packed theater and enjoyed it, but I didn't think it would work at home at all which is why I never bought it on BR. Watching it alone I can't imagine that the movie would be 1/10th as good.

I have to say, I disagree with the above statement. I have yet to see this at home, but I believe this was meant to see alone at home. The whole film takes place within the confines of the character's house, where we generally feel the most safe, and it's almost like watching a home movie. Seeing it alone at home, our abodes can begin to feed off the energy of the film, and any little noises our own homes make while viewing can only add to the overall atmosphere.

I saw it in the theater and it was creepier. I haven't watched it at home. Watching it by yourself at home with all the lights out and a surround sound system? Yeah, it'd be creepy...especially on a lonely night where it's windy. Watching it with anyone else at home though and it would be lackluster.
So ya its still not working for me. when did you get in contact with the best buy people on twitter?
I talked to them a few hours ago, just asked again, they said they forwarded it tot he web team and no reply yet.

Buy a ticket to see Paranomal Activity 2 on Fandango, and you get a code for a free iTunes digital copy of Paranormal Activity. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

If you call Best Buy they will honor the price. I called them myself and they ordered it for me at the $10 price.

bleh this movie was an EXTREME letdown after all the hype it was given... Def not a buy for me, but good deal for those of you who liked it.

maybe find a better way to put that?

I have been waiting for a good price on this Blu as I thought the movie was very well done, and I really enjoyed the interaction between the castmembers. Definitely not the scariest movie but a very good one.

I won't say it "sucked ass", but it definitely didn't live up to the hype (what does in Hollywood anymore though). I do however agree with you about it being one of those "watch once and never again" movies. Once you've seen it once, there's little reason to watch it again.
I had my hopes up for this deal..looks like the blu is still $25 the DVD is $7.
Not so much, the DVD price seems to be having the same issue as the blu ray yesterday...

The blu ray will be $12.99 in the ad tomorrow BUT since they've already had a deal of the day for $9.99 and then never actually allowed you to order it for the price, I refuse to give them an extra $3. Funny thing is before the deal of the day I was planning on getting the blu for $12.99.

Blu showing up for 9.99 DVD for 6.99... although add to cart and the prices still are not correct!!!! Why is this so hard?
Blu is working.

Seriously? After 2 days of fucking it up they fix it for what? The last 5 hours of it on a Saturday night when no one's home to order it anyway? Bah, fuck Best buy.

This was probably one of the worst movies I every sat down to watch. I can see why watching in a theater could be fun. You can see all the people jumping at spiders and doors moving slowly. At home alone though at least for me was horrible. I also hated blair witch which I seen with a crowd. God blair witch was masterpiece compared to this crap.

Note I don't fault you for your opinion, we all have different tastes.

picked this up on monday when i was buying a bunch of penny guides for $13 - guess i'm going to return that one now and go for this ( x2 + $10 GC)

I'm so glad I waited. This is an awesome deal now.

You bought nearly 1300 penny guides? Or were you buying penny guides at an inflated price?

Haha, no - Paranormal was $13.

And to save anyone some time ....if you get an email from BB saying your card payment could not be processed, don't bother calling. It's happening to a lot of people i'm told and you'll get your pickup email after noon supposedly.

^^^^ That picture of Gary Busy's family is much much scarier than Paranormal Activity. ;)

I'd rather have a poltergeist in my house than those scary bastards. ;)

Great deal if you're a reseller. You're better off watching the last five minutes on youtube than owning this awful movie.
