US Hard drive on Japanese 360?

Ok, I just ordered Super Robot Wars XO and found out it does not work on US 360s. Despite it being a remake as well I am pondering buying a Japanese 360 core to play it. (Yes I like the series that much.) My question is if I did so would I be able to swap the HD from my US Premium 360 back and forth to the Japanese one at will or would this be a problem?
