USB Headset question

Hey everyone..I tried searching for my answer but I came up relatively short. Either I suck at Google or I just fail at life in general..maybe both. hah, Anyways, my question:

If I purchase a relatively nice USB Headset to use with my PS3 (which will be arriving in the mail anytime now), will I be able to have ALL of the noises (i.e. in game music/ sound fx and etc.) go through the headset? Or would I be wasting my money on a nice headset that will only be used for Voice Com? Thanks in advance to anyone that can answer my question

I doubt you can get more than the voice communication. I haven't tried it on a PS3 (I don't have one) but every PS2 game that supported a headset only used it with chat.
